Absolutely.

And the owner of a sports venue has every right to grant or deny access to his premises.

You need not give him your PHI, and he need not give you access to his property.

Private businesses should be able to do as they please. Plain and simple.

If they get government funding, then it is different.

I can ask you your age, your favorite color or your most-hated sports team. I need not have statutory authority to do so.
I can say no, no and no and you can't then say, "you will provide that or else I will fine you or refuse to allow you service."
Are you actually saying that I cannot deny access to my bar, if a potential patron hates our Aggies?

Granted, it would be STUPID, and it would cost me money. But I have EVERY right to deny access to Aggie-haters.

Going down this rabbit hole, if determinism is real and we're just giant masses of atoms controlled by our biology and our upbringing everything about us is immutable and therefore any discrimination would be equal to that of racism. Even football team perferences.

So when someone asks me my age when entering a venue with an age requirement and they don't let me in because I can't show I'm old enough, they can't refuse to let me in?
I stayed away from this example for several reasons, including:

1. Alcohol laws tend to specifically grant the authority to confirm a minimum; and

2. Age discrimination laws tend to prohibit discrimination based upon (at least a maximum) age, at least as to employment and a number of other specific areas.

As such, discussing "age," tends to muddy the waters.

Yes, they should have the right, so long as they recognize that I identify as a Texas Megapot Lottery winner who has had the vaccine.

Crap, I had forgotten we are alters.

Honestly, I seem to either HAVE so many alters ... or to BE the alter of so many other posters ... that I tend to forget who I am and who I am not.

That is far too esoteric for this old boy.

But given that I chose TAMU with two t-sip parents, there may be something to it.

Yes. Just like they shouldn't have to make a cake for a religious ceremony they disagree with, or serve people of a particular race, or deny service due to lack of clothing, and really anything they they see fit. They own the business. I find it absurd that the gov't feels the need to play the role of kindergarten teacher with the general public. frick it. The market will correct this shite.

This is where we need to draw the distinction between that which SHOULD BE and that which ACTUALLY IS.

As to what SHOULD BE, I agree with you 100%. I hate public accommodation laws and protected classes. I think they are contrary to our constitution and to the very concept of private property.

But as to what ACTUALLY IS, the sad fact is that our legal codes are RIDDLED with public accommodation laws and protected classes.

I'd say unequivocally yes.

Yes,I know it might be a little difficult to prove but I was issued a vaccination "card"after my first shot.

Getting my 2nd today.

That’s deranged. Better never come to this.

We’ve discussed it though and if the US does go all nazi and require it then MDs in the fam will give us these “vaccination cards” to say we’ve had it even though we of course won’t.

Yes. And they should be boycotted and go bankrupt because of it.
