Seriously people. Baton Rouge is a college town. Protecting LSU students should be a priority.

This is senseless.

What did Tate do? She was off campus.

Still a tragedy and a failure on the mayor’s part for gutting the police force.

He didn't wield the power of his institution to force the pos local leaders to do their jobs.

I know nothing of Baton Rouge. I may have driven through it once in my life, I'm noteven sure.

But, if they don't clean that shite up wt a quickness, the flagship university of the state is going to be in big trouble. No reasonable parent wants to see their child to a crime ridden campus area.

My stepdaughter is a Freshman in college this fall and demographics and crime absolutely played a major part in her college choice.

why are people downvoting that. I challenge anyone to properly argue this is on Tate.

Is he supposed to put a force field around LSU students on Govt street?

People just like to shite on Tate, and the fact that every white student isn’t being forced to take 12 hours of White People Bad Courses every semester like they claimed they would be isn’t slowing them down.

I do not know anything about that area or who Tate is. This is on anyone who preaches to another that guns are bad.

Until more people own and are taught how to use guns correctly, especially when it comes to aiming and firing, you are going to hear about the results caused by the criminal elements.

It is time to teach law abiding citizens why arms are constitutionally protected and how to use them.

I don't know the university president's name, race or color or gender of the university that my 18 year old step daughter is at. I truly don't give a frick.

I only cared if she could walk around campus and to the downtown area close to campus at night and be safe.

So you think the solution to a car getting shot up in a drive by is for the unsuspecting driver to be a quick draw?

No one has fully explained WTF happened yet.

She apparently got killed outside Red Stick Social in the early morning yet they supposedly close around 10PM.

Was she working there and got off after closing then got killed?

So do you know the sheriff/Chief of polices name?

Do you have a basic understanding of BR a geography?

Does you step daughter go to school in a college town or adjacent to a large city.

And listen take pot shots at the mayor and police department all you want.

It’s weird to try and shoehorn Tate into this.

I’m not addressing Tate yet.

SWB failed. Murphy Paul failed. Whether the idiots attempting to gentrify Government St failed is not proven yet but they probably get some blame too.

Everything that has gone on since school started this year should have students scared for their fricking lives as if Zombie Derrick Todd Lee were around.

Blood is on the hands of every woke piece of shite.
Tate, Broome, etc.

They've created the horrible crime situation.
Their stupidity has caused chaos and death.

I believe that Tate should be publicly trashing the BRPD and Broome, appeal to the state government for additional law enforcement, publicly support a recall of the mayor, etc.

The university he is in charge of has to be safe or it will decline. He might be the best president ever, but if crime doesn't get handled, LSU suffers.

Adding that he has a TON of power and leverage. Especially as a black man in Baton Rouge.

Well need more information as to why. It is bad news but there has to be more to it than meets the eye. Mistaken Identity, rejection of some weirdo, thought her boyfriend was in the car and intended victim. Wide open at this point

What is Tate supposed to do about Baton Rouge crime? He's a university president, not a mayor or police chief.

Is there really a narrative that blames Tate for BR crime?
