Uh, you do realize after the invasion of Sicily. The Italian king ousted Mussolini and Italy switched sides? Then the Germans had to invade and occupy Italy to set up their own puppet government, tying up manpower and resources, that could’ve been used in France or the eastern front.

Yeah and you’d probably deal with soldier mutinies all over Europe. By 1945, the western allies done with war. If the US decided to invade Russia, by the time they got the soldiers in place and mobilized, it would probably be late summer or early fall, just a few months until the infamous Russian Winter. Also by 1945, the us is one of the biggest importer of raw goods into the USSR, so we would’ve been funding and arming our new adversary.

Red Dead 2 was probably one of the best games I’ve ever played. Cyberpunk while better now, was horribly unfinished when it came out. That’s my problem is that there are games in an unfinished state that get released expecting you to pay the full price for a game you won’t be able to play fully in a year.

I know this is a common topic on the gaming board.
Ever since I’ve been able to run roms off a sd card on my GameCube, I’ve been playing less and less of my PS5. The game industry is broken right now, it’s just not enjoyable to me. They expect us to pay more for games that are released unfinished with a “roadmap” of things to add. They require you to always be online for “achievements” and stupid loot boxes.
With my GameCube setup I’ve been downloading games I’ve never heard of and been enjoying it. I really think the 2000s-2010s were the pinnacle of gaming. It’s not complete nostalgia, lot of the games I’m playing I’ve never played or some never even heard of as a kid and they feel a lot more solid than some of the crap we get today.

I’ve been trying to avoid that video of the girl in Charlotte, but it was shown to me against my wishes on X. I really wish I wouldn’t have seen it. It makes my blood boil seeing her look so helpless in the final moments of her life. It’s so sad to see someone’s life end in such a useless and preventable way.
