Lol @ Bernie. What an old communist fool.

The democratic socialist lambasted “corrupt real estate developers” for jacking up rent prices and President Trump for cutting federal housing programs. He says he would create an office within the Department of Housing and Urban Development to strengthen rent control and tenant protections and make data on evictions and rent increases available to the public.
This guy is polling well, ya'll He doesn't see the irony in his plan at all??

I do not care how small my island is when I finally buy one. I will not live in that.

It's worse than that by doing the math, he's guaranteeing 7.4 million housing units at 337,000 per unit. I can get a 3000-2500 sq foot house with 4 bedrooms and 3.5/ 4 baths with wood or slate floors, marble or granite counters, two tankless water heaters two car garage in Covington, LA for that. Same in DeSoto County,MS, Shelby County,AL and the northern suburbs of Ft. Worth

So Bernie wants to spend 337,837.00 Per housing unit?
But you just know that these units are going to increase in value over the years.
Well, the ones that are still deemed fit for occupation.

Sanders’s plan seeks to invest $1.48 trillion over 10 years in the National Affordable Housing Trust Fund to build and maintain 7.4 million “quality, affordable and accessible housing units” that he says will eliminate the gap in affordable housing for the lowest-income renters.
Like these?
This is sad. Bernie is having to try and run farther to the left than he did in 2016. Socialist Sanders has gone full blown retard and has become Soviet Sanders, or maybe Soviet Sanders has become Senile Sanders and forgot how well FDR's housing projects worked.

Sanders said the plan would “guarantee every American — regardless of income — a fundamental right to a safe, decent, accessible, and affordable home” and would be paid for by a wealth tax on the top one-tenth of 1 percent of income earners.
Forget the fact that I know the math doesn't work.
I'd love to see THEIR math for all this because every new idea they come up with is being paid for the same way.
Me thinks they are quintuple counting money.

Bernie...Please promise to build these units in the classic brutalist architectural style.

Bernie is a fricking retard my god

Math just isn't his strong suit.
But...
The top 1 % earn about 21% of all income and pay nearly 40% of all taxes. How are they not already paying their fair share?
But...

The share of income earned by the top 1 percent of taxpayers rose to 20.6 percent in 2014. Their share of federal individual income taxes also rose, to 39.5 percent.

So Bernie wants to pay:
trillions for the green new deal
trillions for medicare for all
trillions for housing for all
trillions for whatever else
Where the frick is all this money coming from

White House hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday released a $2.5 trillion plan to guarantee housing for every American.
paid for by a wealth tax on the top one-tenth of 1 percent of income earners.
The last time I checked, those people collectively had just over $2 trillion in net worth. The vast majority consisted of the value of their companies. The actual liquid assets and real estate is nowhere close to being able to pay for this.

It would also invest another $400 billion to build 2 million mixed-income social housing units.
This would just be more low-income housing. Middle class people aren't going to live in the projects. Obama tried to do this with Section 8.

Trillions here for housing and trillions there for Medicare for all..
Does anyone with a functioning brain not see how this is bull shite ?

This is how filthy f*cking scumbags originally sold the country on the income tax, i.e., it would never effect anyone but the ultra wealthy.
