Let's see, a cop car behind you with flashing lights that you can see reflecting off the car he's behind.

Didn't see any indication of flashing lights in the video. And right before the driver puts it in drive, you can see a police cruiser in front of a diner without lights flashing. So, even if his lights were on, the cop was parked a good distance from the car.

Did find it odd that the cop didn't just pull his cruiser up behind the car, could have easily blocked him in which would have made getting away impossible.

is it your standard operating procedure to open a strangers car door at night and stick a gun in their face?

Well, that isn't what happened, so what is your point?

Don't bother. People with this mentaliy always believe cops are in the wrong. Remember, we still have folks who do the "hands up, don't shoot" even though the DOJ proved that never happened in the Michael Brown case.

Play stupid games and you will win stupid prizes.

If you feel like teaching your children they don't have to respect anyone, than I guarantee you that you will be raising them well past their 30's and any offspring they bring into the world.

Yeah I imagine part of why they canned him so fast is that he never identified himself

This is the headline.

Not the stupid lie that he was shot for eating while not driving.

Good grief.

Guy approaches your car from behind, opens your door, tells you to get out of the car and pulls a gun on you. Whats your first response?

The fact that people are saying they see cop lights in the reflection of the car ignoring the cop SUV in the video parked in another parking spot with no lights on proves you guys are just looking for shite.

That wasn't a stop.

It was an interaction with someone he thought (mistakenly) was a suspect, the same threat applies.

Can someone explain where this information is coming from, other than a typed out description in the OP?

Cop needs to go to jail for that. There are too many scared cops out there that think they can do whatever they want.

Here is Gnashrebel’s order of events without editorial.

1. Cop sees car he believes to be one that evaded earlier. Some say he isn’t that same person but I doubt anyone knows for sure yet.

2. Cop walks up to car. I cannot tel personally if blue lights are on. I don’t think I see any.

3. Cop opens door with no gun in his hands . He does not identify but says to get out.

4. Dude says why and puts car in revers and backs up.

5. Likely car door hits cop. He says ow frick.

6. Cop pulls gun and unloads.

Do with that what you will.

Lie.

The cop pulled up at the McDonald's and noticed the car he thought he had previously tried to stop and walked over. You can see his cruiser parked near the door of the McDonald's, no lights on. Shooty McMurderpants rolled up on this kids car, opened his door and pulled a gun on him.

Kinda like you saying the cop had his gun drawn when he opened the door, even when there is video evidence that indicates opposite.

Your still image there is AFTER the car reversed, and after the first shots were fired, and when he was driving away. Not when the cop was walking up to the car.

The image was posted to prove those saying there were flashing blue lights were wrong.

Nowhere does the poster suggest that the cop walked up to the vehicle with his gun drawn.

This is the only reason this story is not plastered on every single headline/lead story in the country right now.

This shows you how sad the US media has become.

I thought the cop had a gun in his hand from the get go, but I'll admit I was incorrect. I based that on the fact that he had his gun in hand within TWO SECONDS of opening the kid's door.

So, no, he didn't approach with a gun in the hand, but before the kid even started backing up, he had his gun in hand pointing at him, and another two seconds later, opened up.

I quoted what he said, which you can read above. I think we are splitting hairs. He claimed the cop opened the door and drew his gun. All the evidence available shows that to not be the correct sequence of events.

GnashRebel's sequence seems fairly accurate:

quote:

1. Cop sees car he believes to be one that evaded earlier. Some say he isn’t that same person but I doubt anyone knows for sure yet.

2. Cop walks up to car. I cannot tel personally if blue lights are on. I don’t think I see any.

4. Dude says why and puts car in revers and backs up.

5. Likely car door hits cop. He says ow frick.

6. Cop pulls gun and unloads.

Horrible. This is wholly indefensible, and will precipitate new crys to defund, if not dismantle, LEO's across the fruited plain.
