Russia is putting out demands that it knows Ukraine won't agree too and Ukraine is doing the same thing. These peace talks are all about publicity so each side can say well we tried but they didn't agree to it. Neither side wants this war to end so let the meat grinder continue to churn.

Go reread that thread. Russia already has them. They were from Minsk which is in Belarus which is a Russian puppet state.

Well that’s not what’s going on. Apple to oranges.

Interesting statement from Medinsky regarding the supposed "exchange" of fallen soldiers — which #Ukraine claimed had been agreed.

In reality, no exchange was negotiated. Instead, the #Russian side unilaterally offered to return the bodies of some fallen Ukrainian soldiers, most of whom have already been identified.

What adds another layer to this is that, under this offer, the #Zelenskyy regime will now have to pay compensation to the families of these soldiers."

The alternative is to see the Ukraine last as long as the broke arse EU can find them.

Bro, do you have any fricking idea who Maimunka News is? WTF are you consuming. Then you just regurgitate their supposed explanation of a 31 second clip.

You owe it to your country to do better.

Strong opener. Ask for everything.

Typical start to negotiations.

Here's the thing, Russia has nothing to lose here.

Ukraine has been slowly losing ground for months, that's likely only going to continue due to Russia far better positioned in regards to the slow attrition of arms and manpower. This means that the longer Ukraine says "nyet", the more they lose and the stronger the Russian position gets.

I would bet the Russians understand this and are perfectly fine with continuing the war until they win out completely (by slowly grinding down Ukraine's forces) or by getting some sort of wildly lopsided agreement.

Russia-Ukraine peace talks collapsed in Istanbul: "Now is the time for war, not peace"

Russia is preparing its response to the Ukrainian aggression and the attack will have to do with Zelensky himself

[embed]https://www.pronews.gr/kosmos/diethnis-politiki/konstantinoupoli-eftasan-sto-anaktoro-tsiragan-oi-antiprosopeies-oukranon-kai-roson-vinteo/?_x_tr_sl=el[/embed]

There will be no continuation of direct negotiations and the two delegations are departing pending the Russian response to the Ukrainian strike.

Contrary to what is written and said, the Russian response has nothing to do with nuclear weapons (after all? Russia wins on the battlefield), nor with the launch of simple drones.

Something much bigger is coming and in duration, "in order to make the Ukrainian regime unable to respond."

Peace talks in Istanbul collapsed after the Ukrainian strategic blow achieved yesterday, with the Russian delegation leaving stating that "Now others will speak. This is not the right time for negotiations."

The contact lasted only 1.5 hours.

The talks began shortly after 2:30 p.m.

Of course they can. It's a peace negotiation to end a war. Lots of demands made in the history of treaties.

How is Ukraine joining NATO different than China staging troops in Canada or Mexico?
