Defending the OP.
I hesitated to post something similar, BUT, I received a call last night from my brother that is a relatively high ranking Army official.
Said that they have been training with the National Guard and that the National Guard guys are saying that an announcement will be made over the weekend about National Guard being deployed so go buy groceries, etc.
Further, 72 hrs after the first announcement, a 2nd announcement is expected that a 14-day lockdown is going into place. As in, early next week.
As mentioned, I hesitated to post. But, if the police are saying similar, could have some merit.

We've had these dumbass rumors all week. JBE was going to announce a lockdown this past Monday. Still waiting on that one.

That is exactly what is happening. They are preparing for it in case they need it. More than likely right now in La it would be for the greater NO area. There isn't any reason to have a place like Grant Parish to shelter in place when they have zero cases.
