true dat - his biggest fault in my view - and he gets no pardon from me over it.
I was p.o.'ed during the debate when he chastised Nixon for not having a 'plan for Cuba' = when he knew Nixon could not reveal anything about the actual plan.
And then when in office withheld the air support that would have made the plan work.

Whether that's true or not. To invade the US, you would need a staging ground close.
We did not invade mainland Europe from the US. We staged in England.
