That leaves Russia's eastern flank wide open....that means 1 million men in that theater. Russia would be committing close to 85% of their army to the Ukraine theater of operations.

Do they have that many troops available? Possibly if they conscripted the frick out of their population.

But they won’t be very well trained or seasoned at all.


Quantity has its own qualities but this doesn’t seem as impressive as those numbers make it sound.

In a matter of days, the Eastern Front will be swimming in mud up to your knees, and the mechanized offensive will be impossible until Summer.

Ukraine never had a realistic chance to win this war and the country is just not important enough for US blood and treasure. We should have just helped the people who wanted to get out leave and resettle. $100 billion down the drain.

If 60-80K KIA is accurate, the Russians have lost more soldiers than the US in the entire Vietnam War. Pretty sobering. Too many young men sent to die for no reason at all.
