Wrong. State’s rights is a winning issue. And it further is the way to avoid the cultural wars that only further empowers our overlords in Washington.

So republicans won't vote for pro-life candidates? Bull hockey. It is a winning issue. Compare the protection of innocent life to the wanton destruction of it every chance you get. Every single chance.

A question more people should be asking after 2016-2018.

Agree it’s a dumb move - why not secure the Texas border instead? Would have been a lot more meaningful and caused a lot less ruckus

Why do you presuppose to know better than the citizens of Texas of what is best for their state?

You are wrong. The GOP needs to stand for something or they have no future. Right now they are Democrat Lite.

Gay marriage is not a fight worth having because it has virtually no effect on people outside that relationship; however, abortion is a sword worth falling on for moral, ethical and compassionate people, even if not Christian.

Thank you. And this applies equally to whatever woke dumbassery is currently in vogue at the State Capitol in Sacramento California. Leaving these divisive social issues to the individual states protects the rights of both Texans and Californians.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about right and wrong. Murdering children is wrong.

But losing elections won't change anything. Republicans will lose trying to ride this issue, the law will not change (or in Texas' case, WILL change) but we'll be ruled by democrats who will implement all of their other communist policies.

It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Legislators are actually following RvW court precedent. The court has allowed states to define personhood under the RvW ruling. Texas defines personhood as the sign of a heartbeat, around 6 weeks. NY has another standard for personhood.

So there you go.

The irony is Texas state legislature was following RvW court precedent. It’s why they won.

there’s no freaking way abortion would pass a national vote
reasonable abortion laws would. (First trimester)

The clown stuff like aborting babies at 9 months wouldn’t.
