It is a shame that fraud occurred, but is it really on the IRS to identify that type of fraud?
It’s usually FBI, DOJ, HHS, and others.
I haven’t seen tax fraud getting the biggest headlines.

True. I heard Blanche on a podcast saying, you know how bad the fraud is? We pay states for lawyers to be dedicated solely to root out fraud. Now Nick Shirley, a kid with a camera can uncover millions in an afternoon.
We paid the state of Hawaii for six dedicated lawyers, in a year they came up with 37K. So not only is their fraud, the states are defrauding the federal govt by taking that money and not hiring lawyers to do the job the money was intended for.
