Which means it's pretty much over for Fido or Beto or whoever he is. Like the 2016 elections, they are likely bias towards Democrats by a margin of 2-4 points.

I think it was wishcasting combined with the threats of tons of money going into the race.

where'd you head from? Austin and SA are plastered with them. i'm in Temple in the historic district and saw nothing but Beto for months. that being said, historic district attracts some artsy type people and older folks. then i have driven/gone on runs through some of the more middle/upper class parts of Temple and Cruz signs outweigh Beto 10:1. i'll be in the valley this week so i'm expecting an overload of Beta.
