It's incredible how malicious the govt is in CA. And now I'm hearing they are starting new developments where the fires were, of apartment buildings in areas that were single family homes. The more that happens, the more it looks like a scam and a scheme.

Unless sewer, water, power, roads, etc., have been upgraded, still can only service same capacity as before fires. Same number of people, fewer structures?
I don't doubt developers and governments wouldn't conspire to do such a thing, just pointing out expansion would be limited without infrastructure improvement.
I'm of the opinion it's a scam through incompetence.

Moses got water from a rock to provide for the Israelites. Trump gets water from a valve to provide for Californians. Not quite as dramatic but you get the picture.

It would be interesting to see this Forum’s opinion in regard to just what kind of housing would be optimal to address the population’s needs. As that is a given and will be done. IMO it’s not the abodes that are problematic but the people who inhabit them. So we really need programs to ‘design’ the people, for it to work? Hmmm. Kinda confusing for this freedom-loving country boy.

First off the picture is a fake. Trump has been back in Washington DC since yesterday, yet the water turn on happened today. The picture with all the admiring crowds standing around, the sunset, etc, fake.
Do a "reverse image search" if you don't believe me. I did mine on "Tineye" and came up with O hits besides this one we are seeing. TRUMP IS IN WASHINGTON HE DID NOT TURN ON ANY FAUCET!
SECOND -
All that was turned on was some water station that had been down for a grand total of THREE DAYS for maintenance.

California officials said late Monday that President Donald Trump did not send the military into the state to "turn on the water," as he claimed in a social media post.
Rather, federal officials turned on a federal water-pumping station in Northern California that had been down for maintenance, state officials said.
"The military did not enter California," California's state Department of Water Resources posted on X after 10 p.m. Pacific time. "The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days. State water supplies in Southern California remain plentiful."
The agency was responding to a post Trump wrote on Truth Social that said the military entered California and used emergency authority to restore water supplies after hydrants ran dry during the Los Angeles wildfires. (But that was an infrastructure problem, not a supply-side issue.)
