People only look at the potential positives and ignore the much larger negatives.
People think they can handle more darkness in the mornings and it's a positive trad for a little more in the afternoon, but this doesn't end up playing out in reality how it does in their heads.

I'm against any change that makes it darker in the morning. I'm out the door at 6am so I can be home by 3.

This is so true. Look at Trump's statement about this, the first thing is about the PGA. This whole argument about more sunlight is ridiculous. We don't need to inconvenience everyone with darkness at 8 AM so a few guys in FL can play golf for an extra 30 minutes. Just deal with winter like man has for thousands of years.

Its barely sun up for school start as is, I couldn't imagine it being pitch dark and still dark until 8-9am

TDS is fascinating to me. Never before has not agreeing with a flawed leader been a syndrome. It only happens when there is a hive cult of personality. Isn't that the real TDS? WHEN they are so enamored they can't see the faults and issues. Oh and CA is one of the dumbest posters in the history of this board but she's super Maga and so never gets called on her stupidity.

It’s funny because people living North of the 36th parallel go to school in the dark most of the time depending on how their semesters are set.
Cotton is being lobbied hard by a group in Arkansas worried about having kids catching the bus in the dark.
Basically a bunch of Karen’s in Arkansas are punishing the South because they don’t want to be inconvenienced.

I don’t know why don’t instead just pick one or the other permanently and businesses, govt offices, and schools just change their operating hours to fit the daylight. In winter go to work at 9am till 5-6 pm. Summer go at 7 am to 3-4pm
