I didn't see these issues coming. While I am ambivalent about changing the time, I can understand why people dislike it. I did think the preference for DST would be far greater than staying on standard time year-round. However, all of the polling (and opinions on TD) indicate I was wrong, and the issue is far closer to 50/50 than I would have ever thought. It seems to have a high correlation with occupation and lattitude/longitude.
My wife leaves for work most days in the dark that won't change. I usually go to work on daylight most days, but I don't care if I go to work in the dark. That might change when I get older, but I will be retired. We both prefer more daylight after work since we do lots of stuff outside, including our cardio, which is quite a few hours a week.
