Trump should not be able to tell a private company what they can be compensated.

Generally I would agree, but this is taxpayer money. If they want it, they play by the government's rules.

Lol, Elon has been delivering for NASA without these problems. Trump wouldn't have a problem with the salaries if they were getting the job done.

Wow we do love our socialist policies.... so long as a guy who claims to be a capitalist is suggesting it.

Corporations have long broken the social contract between the population. It was clear to me they would NEVER EVER do the right thing.

Is it unfortunate Trump has to do this? Yes. Who made it this way? THEM.

So now "conservatives" are bitching about the "social contract"?

How very liberal of you.

Government contractors have to put up with government bullshite. Overall they do get the job done if not for DOW interference causing cost overruns. You should look into the history of the Bradley vehicle. Defense made the price 6× more than it had to be and it had nothing to do with the contractors.

Adding CEO pay limits is no different than requiring companies to have women or DEI hires if they want government contracts

This is an interesting take and not completely off base.

Trump lashing out is kinda not the right way to go about it, IMO. It's a problem, but the government created the problem. Until they (the government) fix their current bad habits, it isn't going to actually fix anything.

I had no idea that is how fortunes are made.

Ya, that’s not how it works. The government bids out contracts and the winning contractor is owed that money. The government can’t just come out and say we no longer agree with what we agreed to pay you because of how you use the money.

Just say im a dumb arse and dont know anything about military contracts

The f-35 is 183 billion over cost and well behind schedule so the govt fined them 18 million bucks. That is one hell of a ROI

Give Palmer Luckey all the govt contracts and run it like a business not a hog pen slush fund.

Once again, Donald Trump just did the impossible. He has made the Military Industrial Complex the hero of the Left.

Yes it is taxpayer money, but they are public companies that do business with other entities besides the US government.
