The fight is economic. The fight is about access to European energy markets. We want to keep Russia from selling cheap O&G to Europe.

This may not lead anywhere, but it's (not surprisingly) a bigger deal than the average poster here will admit.
First of all, there's a greater chance IMO that it's true and accurate than not.
But even if not, even if it's Poland fudging, they are doing so for a reason.
Either Putin or Poland (depending on whether this is true or not) is testing NATO resolve. That's the whole point of invoking Article 4 (or in Putin's case, provoking the invocation).
So either Putin is probing the fence line or Poland has reason to believe Russia is going to and they want to try to deter any action before they even go down that road.
Either way, not so good.
But I get it. Huckster Carlson says "Muh 'Merca Fust," so we have to deny and ridicule the idea that not stopping Putin in Ukraine means that he'll keep going and that we'll end up with troops on the ground at some point because of it.
I'm not sure what America could/should have done to aid Ukraine other than what we did, but I have said all along that the idiots constantly whining about sending them aid were just that. Idiots. With Huckster as the ringleader of idiots. Because something like this was always the easily predictable outcome.
Trump talked real big about ending this. Campaigned heavily on it. Putin just told us to F-off again.
Tme for Trump to earn all the confidence we gave him.

Russia can't even get Ukraine under control. Poland would kick the shite out of them. Even with Belarus as an ally, Russia doesn't have the logistical capabilities to push that far west.
