People that want socialism need their head examined

The examples of socialism's failure do not overcome the power of Envy. It's one of the 7 deadly sins from the beginning of time and it's strong in the Dem party.

I work in private sector, but we do a lot of business for Government side/Non-Profits.

The contrast of competency between other private sectors vs Gov/Non-Profits is laughably sad. Beyond the incompetency of gov day-to-day operations, their overall inability to budget anything and everything is very frustrating for my side. Due dates on invoices seem to be in a different language for them and not a concern.

If you debate a socialist, just ask them if they care about the poor. They will say "yes". Then ask them how purchasing power is created.

I'm not being hyperbolic when I say this; I truly believe that today's Leftists are the dumbest people who have ever existed. When you consider that it is easier and cheaper than ever to educate yourself on any issue, especially economics, that you have all the info in the world at your fingertips in mere seconds, and you STILL support a system that led to the deaths of over 100 million people, how can you not consider them to be the dumbest people who ever lived?

Yep. It's a stressful life, but I guess I do get paid better.

I have an environmental engineer buddy who works on the government side and it seems as if he only works 10 hours a week while making a normal 40-hour salary.

I work with "the government" a fair bit.

The inefficiency is mind blowing. So many people doing so little work.

Envy is the religion of socialists.

Someone made a good point on a podcast about this the other day.

He said this huge surge in communist and socialist sympathies is because the current capitalist system no longer serves to benefit people and enhance their life like it did before.

You can work one job, have a stay at home wife with 2+ kids and a home on one average to above average salary in most parts of the country

The system their parents told them would let them do anything they want no longer does, and if you are lucky enough, your money does not go as far as it did years ago.

And I belive he does have a point.

Sure, a bunch if lazy tax leeches want the government to take care of them, but some of these folks that are successful and do want this are doing it because they think the current system is rigged against them and no longer works.

Its sadly only a matter of time before the great socialist experience arrives in the US.

Europe is always a good precursor to what eventually idiots try and implement here.

Conservatives have to win in the next election or you better get ready to pony up your tax dollars even more to give the others free Healthcare and a guaranteed standard income.

easiest way to explain it is anyone who would want that hasn't had life kick them in the nuts a few hundred times yet.

While living in NJ I had a chance to talk to a lot of people from other countries. Some of them from socialist countries.
Lefties should have long conversations with some of these people. And should do so with .mouths shut, ears open.

Govt workers need to be reduced by 80% across all levels of govt.


People who like socialism should move to a socialist country if they like it that much.
