Can you point to anything published that has the cost of this already exceeding $200 billion?

Do you know how much it costs for one plane to fly from America, refuel several times mid-air, drop millions in ordinance, then repeat the return trip process? Just one bombing run based out of the US could be $50-100 million PER AIRCRAFT.

And centcom has confirmed that as of right now we have flown over 8000 sorties

Now not all of them are going to cost as much as a B2 from Mizzou to Iran to drop our most expensive bomb, but still. It’s a frick ton of money

8,000 targets maybe, but sorties? That seems absurdly unlikely. I’m guessing missiles and other stand-off weapons/drones are included and it’s not actually 8,000 aircraft sorties.

So now I’m a foreign agent, mind you I’ve made no declarative argument in this thread for any side, for simply pointing out the truth and how much the weapons we use cost?

Yes targets you’re correct

I don’t think they’ve given a number of sorties for things like defense against Irans missiles, etc.

Sorry I misspoke

All good I just did the mental math and was going to be very impressed with the carrier decks if they were running at that clip

This is 6 days ago but you can probably extrapolate to get close to where we are now.

Iran War Cost Estimate Update: $11.3 Billion at Day 6, $16.5 Billion at Day 12

what do we call the people that dont want money spent on either of those things?

They want the money to replenish what was used. You’re framing it like they’re asking for the money to continue conducting the war

Are we not currently funding the Pentagon at record levels?

ETA: We are funding them at damn near a trillion dollars as it is, and they're already asking for $1.5 trillion in funding for 2027.

I have two competing thoughts on this.

One is that if we’re to believe that they truly were two weeks away from having a nuke I will consider 200 billion to eliminate that future (via regime change) a drop in the bucket. But if we go that route the cost will likely be far more than 200 billion.

The other is that their program was supposedly obliterated 9 months ago and this is all bullshite. So what is this really about and I find myself entertaining conspiracy crap that I normally avoid.

There aren’t any good or easy answers where we find ourselves.

Ain’t nobody gonna give Hegseth money with the sales pitch like that.

It sounds like it was written with crayons.

1) Did you ever say anything about all of the money ALLEGEDLY sent to Ukraine?

2) Did you ever criticize corrupt activity like USAID?

3) Don't bother responding. I already know the real answers.
