If he truly has pull, his father would have had pull. So much so that his armed forces would have remained loyal and would have countered the threat pulled by the mullah in 1978 into 1979. Ultimately he did not. Shah faced a mutiny by his air force and the army decided that they would not fire on protestors in 1979

They attempt to use morality against their enemy. Knowing the aversion to killing innocents to get to the evil. Most of society today would rather let evil thrive than to kill innocents. Sometimes, you have to shoot the hostage to save everyone else. Its a sad state to be in.

Pahlavi is an empty sack. He doesn’t have any real following in Iran. He just wants Americans die to restore his throne. He fooled a lot of people earlier this year including me. However with that being said I would love to be proven wrong again.
