Why isn't he over there fighting for his beloved country instead of relying on Americans dying for another country. Oh that's right he isn't the rightful leader just another puppet of our government.

You've forgotten the brutal dictator that we installed who oppressed them for like 26 years from 1953 to 1979.
this has been rebutted over and over.
the USSR was in iran after WW2. Do you remember what truman told russia concerning iran? the tudeh party was the comunist party in iran. There was concerns they would take over and possibly allow an annex of iran.... ya know like their neighbors who were part of the USSR? removing mosadegh was purely cold war tactics so that would not happen.
the links have been posted here a million times

The clear solution is to destroy the very source of the charity.

Update: None of this is responsive to the fact that the Shah was a brutal dictator

Pathetic attempt
It's not an attempt. It's me stating the truth.
The Shah was Muslim. A devout, Shia Muslim, to be exact.
Iran was a Shia Muslim nation under the Shah, as it has been since the early 1500s
These are all facts. You can try to dispute them all you want but you're wrong.

The Shah was modernizing Iran.
In some ways, sure. But he was still a brutal ruler who routinely executed political dissents and journalists. The fact that people like him and MBS are considered “moderate” rulers by Middle Eastern standards just goes to show how arse-backwards that entire region is, both culturally and politically.
People don’t know about this but there were protests against the Shah in 1978 and he had hundreds of them shot and killed. Look it up.
At this point, the only way for Iran to be saved as a country is basically for the IRGC to be destroyed and religion to be rewritten out of their constitution. It needs to be a completely secular country with a secular government for there to be any peace and long-term prosperity. Unfortunately the likelihood of that happening is about on par with my chances of becoming an astronaut.

You're not being responsive to anything I've stated or argued.
if that were so, why did the former allow his countrymen to travel to the West for liberal education in secular universities, while the latter did not?

Honest question.

Iran remained both Muslim and Shia under both totalitarian regimes. Those are undisputable facts.
Both being brutal is subjective, but not really in dispute by anyone serious.
Trying to get into the weeds about the slight differences in policy/tactics of the brutal, Shia, and Muslim totalitarian regimes is not efficient or effective, I would argue. They're both terrible.

Counselor, you lie. The government was not as it is now it was far more secular in nature.,Women were not forced to wear the hijab you saw them in western attire.
When the Shah was deposed the government became hardcore Shia Muslim., run by the mullahs. But you know this.

Bunk,
Do you even read the shite you post. "The people of Iran shared the Supreme Leaders position of opposing a nuclear weapon six to one a decade ago".
WTF your article is stating the IRGC did not want a nuke.......while they were spending billions building one?????
Here is a simple AI answer, and keep in mind these are people who will voice an opinion openly so its probably far higher....

Independent polling indicates that roughly 64% to 80% of Iranians desire a fundamental change or complete replacement of the current political system.
