VRs main point tho, the one I addressed and you didn't, is that Americans tend to put more emphasis on frivolous endeavors over academics. I wont defend the low caliber of students being graduated from our schools.

This board talks about how younger generations don't want to work all the time. That's why so many young people are enamored with socialism. They want stuff they didn't earn.

He's also 100% right about the last part. Our society reveers athletes and actors, not scientists and mathematicians.
How many people can name the recent super bowl or ncaa fb champs?
How many can give you detailed sports stats?
Now how many can name past Fields Medal recipients? How many even know what the Fields Medal is?
