I disagree. Doing it in silent ruins the deterrent. Seeing what happens live will keep some from going further.

Don't care really-there is nothing inherently wrong with public execution imho, as long as it gives the condemned a dignified death. Would never watch myself though-I'm not wired that way.

I have 0 issues with capital punishment, but I don’t think making a spectacle of it is a good idea.
If family of the victims want to be there, fine. But I don’t see the value of showing it to the general public.
