Funny how it’s the cops fault for all those things rather than the politicians that the people elect who create those policies. None of that happens in a vacuum

Sounds like New York is about to become the city of dreams for democrat voter types. Muggings, rapes and murder, all trademarks of democrat voters and exactly what every one of them deserve

Then they'll blame this on guns and poverty with absolutely no inward reflection.

To be fair...the rank and file cops are kinda overly officious, direction giving, "respect my authority" asshats.

There needs to be some accountability for that and some reforms. But, the political climate is that there is no moderation...it is ALL or NOTHING.

New Yorkers should expect fewer cops, slower response times, and essentially an under-resourced, overworked police.

Criminals in New York just creamed their pants.

It’s sad that the people with money will leave the state and take their voting practices with them.

I have no desire to visit a place where you can only see the sun between 11 am and 1 pm on a clear day.

I wonder what the crime rate would look like if victimless crimes were legalized?

And, remember, one of the BIG cuts they want to make in that BILLION DOLLAR take back is to cut overtime.

Yeah, how's that going to work???

Why would anyone want to work for Wilhelm? The pension funds are drying up, so what's the point of putting up with all of that bs?

Those are contractual obligations. The city would probably have to go through bankruptcy to get out from under them.

Depending on the laws in NYC and NY state, they may not be able to.

Detroit couldn’t get out from pension obligations when they went bankrupt because of Michigan law regarding pensions.
