Regardless of the excuses, the logical question that will come out of this is why was a rival political campaign under surveillance leading up to an election in the first place. Not shocking that people are so quick to dismiss the concerns over wiretapping or deny that it even occurred.

2) We know Trump associates were investigated, which doesn't support Trump's tweet. But if they were NOT investigated as part of Russian investigations, what resulted in the collection? I'm not sure that will really help his claim that Obama directed a tap on TT, but it's interesting.
In sum though, Nunes isn't saying anything specific, so who knows if this is something of note or not.
