What is it exactly he should have done.

The states have gone retarded. He can't do anything about that either because that would be "unprecedented".

So I guess he could just sit back relax and watch it all burn down and do nothing.

I guess thats one way too look at it.

They’re still fiscally responsible small government conservatives at heart though.

Yep. Or maybe start applying intense pressure to open back up?

And landlords will be able to evict once the moratorium is lifted. To state the obvious, all other business owners who have suffered losses needed to be able to make their money as well. No offense to landlords, but they ain't the only ones who have and are suffering from this manipulated financial crisis.

LOL, the only reason you poor twits are bitching about it is because Trump did it. If Obama or any democrat did the same you would be sucking that dick to the balls. Congress wouldn't do their job so Trump had to do it for them. frick them and people who think like you.
I'm voting for Trump and didn't vote for Obama. Take your shite elsewhere.

Like what exactly?

Democrats have made it clear on Capitol Hill and across the country that they are not going to open up until the year is done and the election is over.

So I am going to take a guess that the next move would be unprecedented and would mean to everyone that he is stomping on state rights unlike a real conservative so I am not voting for him.

He can't do anything more. And even Roberts is going to shite toss this because he is on the same team.

So good luck with that.

I agree. I am just saying, that they are trying to delay the inevitable. I don't think many people have come to grips with that entirely.
If nothing is done, we have a lot of chaos right now, if we stall and delay it, we have shite tons more chaos 2 or 3 years from now. I feel that we are that close.

andlords may be angry (understandably so), but they aren’t stupid. They know this is temporary. Additionally, they know that if Biden is elected, this will probably become permanent. They will still be voting for Trump in November.

A vote for Trump is a vote for increased socialism. As a person who owns rental properties I don’t see much difference between Trump and Biden. Same degree of socialism just in a tanking economy. The programs Trump has put forth is about trying to get re-elected and not doing what is best for the country.

My family owns plenty of rentals. I own 3 rental properties myself. Luckily I haven’t had any tenants not pay me each month yet since this all started but wondering what’s going to happen as this becomes mainstream. I admit I’m getting a little nervous

Man this is the short view of things. So let's just suppose for a moment that had Trump swaggered up to the microphone and said "We're done with these landlords not being able to evict. I'm lifting the moratorium and we're going to get clear out any and all nonpaying tenants and put the landlord back on top." Of course to be followed by relentless coverage by MSM parroting the fact that this has disproportionately affected minorities such as Hispanics and blacks, and he simply pandered to his base. Resulting in a glut of homeless people here in the midst of the covid pandemic. Which would in all likelihood cause Trump to lose come November.

You good with that, when on the other hand Trump likely would have won in a mere 3 months, thereafter certainly putting landlords back in charge, with the added bonus of....Trump being President.

You ok with the former scenario, for a grand 3 months of landlord bliss?

You’re so full of shite. You were never voting for Trump if this was the last straw

Yeah... so vote democrat

Trump isn’t a conservative. The left would’ve loved Trump 20 years ago before our media became apparently evil.

Is this new EO only applicable to gov backed and / or section 8 type housing? Or is it all rental properties?

What would you have him do? Honestly? Not even trying to argue. State and local governments across the country have lost their minds. Someone had to do something , but what better options do we have?

Yeah... so vote democrat ?

Also typical of this place is to assume if someone disagrees with Trump they auto vote for Biden.

Recalling politicians at the state level is what you are supposed to do

I guess enough people just don't really give that much of a shite yet

The Federal government was never designed to go state by state and block random arse shut down rules that have never been done before.

So the only thing Congress can do is give money and the only thing Trump can do is try to bypass them if they don't.

There is no plan B

It doesnt help the little old lady landlord who doesnt have a mortgage but uses the rental income + SS to survive.

The eviction moratorium only applies to federally assisted properties so as long as the little old lady isn't running Section 8 housing she can still evict her deadbeat tenants.
