In person it was fine. Medium amount of applause. A few twitter and TikToks after but didn’t get the push this one is.

He didn’t say anything about Pride Month last year but certainly told the women the most important job they’d ever have is being a mother.

Nobody, and I mean nobody actually believes that.

So he said:

quote:

women should not be in the workplace

And the NFL responded with:

quote:

The NFL remains committed to welcoming women

Sooooooooooooo…after looking at the current rosters, I don’t see ANY women on any team in the entire league.

Of course they did and this draw more attention to it.

Regardless of the leagues opinion, they should just not say anything

Why would a push for “diversity” want to exclude or alienate a theologically committed Catholic? Why is that not part of it?

Is there more meaningless word at this point?

What are the 7 deadly sins?

pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth

If I'm a Christian, then it seems reasonable that I'd speak out against an entire month of sin aka 'pride'.

Folks need to deal with stuff & just move on. This stuff existed well before Pride MONTH was ever a thing.

Oh yes, it’s such a hardship being white and Christian. Give me a break.

Christianity is completely at odds with the winds of change that have promoted sexual liberation, bodily autonomy, and identity issues that are prevalent in our society. Everything “woke” is hailed in our culture is morally good, and Christianity is anti-woke. This culture celebrates inclusivity and Christianity is exclusive.

Our culture is becoming more and more intolerant of Christianity by the day.

Here's Rolling Stone's summary

Chiefs Kicker Spreads Antisemitic Lies In Benedictine College Graduation Speech

quote:

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker kicked the hornet’s nest last weekend when he encouraged the women of Benedictine College’s 2024 graduate class not to embrace their roles as wives and homemakers rather than putting their degrees to use. While the speech drew widespread criticism for his characterization of women and LGBTQ people, Butker also promoted an insidious piece of antisemitic misinformation pertaining to legislation in Congress.
