They’ve been left leaning for a long time. However, this is a whole new level, especially when you consider Biden’s health.

This is a really bad move imo They have now become a political advocacy group and a lot of Americans will no longer trust them

They already were.

What part of “we trust the science” guides this decision?

This should make the melting cucks that are scared of every poll stop and think. If Biden was up big why would the media be doing this? Hint: he isn’t up big

Can just any flaky group come out with an asinine statement today and be taken seriously?

Quacks one and all.

Do all the millions of people who have recovered or didn’t have symptoms aren’t mentally capable of having a job? Sounds like discrimination to me.

I did not read the article only the OP headline.

They should put their brilliant minds together and find a cure for TDS.

I have published medical journal articles before. We as authors have to jump through significant hoops to declare all of our conflicts of interests no matter how insignificant.

These editors should all disclose their political party registration and any donations made this election cycle out of full transparency to publicly state any conflict of interest.

The voters (and EC) will remove DJT soon enough.

This is obfuscation at its finest. Goalposts moved again. We are about 5th in testing per 1M. And first in number of tests. (Which is why we have so many “infections.”)

NEJM knows this. They’re fricking jagoffs.

I also routinely publish and think this is an interesting idea. Indeed, you have to disclose if an immediate family member has more than a $10K stake in a company with a claim to any drug you are investigating. Given the nature of this editorial, political affiliations and campaign contributions are certainly relevant.

This is outrageous. I'm not gonna bother picking apart the points in the article, because it would take more time than I want to give the post. Suffice to say this is a political smear job that will be easily discredited by the numbers. For such a "prestigious" journal to make their first political endorsement based on this reasoning is laughable.

They're gonna get a top-down gutting before this is over.

Someone with Twitter needs to get in touch with Rand Paul with this idea.

This is incredibly unusual and, IMO as a physician, inappropriate.

It calls into question their editorial decisions on everything connected to politics. It’s embarrassing. And they’re not self-aware enough to realize it.

Reads like pure political propaganda. I would assume nonpartisan doctors would not appreciate this.

I imagine their editorial board is a bunch of Fauci types.

I bet not a single one of them has forgone a dollars worth of income this entire time.
