I was at a trade show once in an industry (horticulture) highly influenced by the Dutch. Holland was in the World Cup finals that afternoon. Almost half the trade show was dressed in some way in orange.. bright orange. At 5 min. before the game, the show floor was so empty you could’ve bowled down the aisles and not disturbed anyone.
Holland won and suddenly the streets were decked in orange ribbons etc., that’s they brought from home just for this occasion.
It was a sight.

I spent a week in Amsterdam last month and talked to quite a few people. When I tell you they are completely brainwashed on whatever the leftist, anti-American media tells them.

Nederlanders love to be identified as Nederlanders, not Dutch. They won’t be offended if called Dutch, but you’re treated like royalty if you know the difference. Been to Amsterdam a couple times, the women, the women, the women, love to have a good time and love American accents

And it's sad because Holland was the first real free market capitalist country in Europe. We think of America as a British colony but a lot of our early leaders were Dutch.
