Watched it on a United flight last Sunday. Enjoyed it and learned a lot - particularly about Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

No cap.
Golf buddy of mine flew it a handful of times for business. He said the same thing... aside from the speed and time savings, which were impressive, the cabin comfort and ride itself weren't remarkable.
 Of course you do.

Troll on.

How’s Anthony Kim doing? He about to “find his form” again?
It was Georgia's fault.

It was Chicago's fault.

It was Pittsburgh's fault.

Damn, had tickets to the Nola show.

Sad to read this. For him and his family.

We had tickets for the Aug. 8 show in East Rutherford.

Was really looking forward to seeing him and Nicks one last time.

After watching, I have a lot more respect for him. And how he handled it. He inherited a War on Terror going nowhere and at least set an achievable goal.

He upped the ante in finding Bin Laden when GW had let it fall to the back burner.

He had the guts to send our military into a foreign country to get him, GW wouldn’t do anything outside of air strikes when it mattered.

The right wing media had a field with that famous picture of him sitting off to the side in the room like a spectator, but it turns out, he just moved to a small room on his own and everyone else followed.

Agree with all of this. And all of this was the real “what did I learn that I didn’t generally already know?” from watching the documentary.

Not saying this of Gerry Connolly. For some politicians, it is a religion and they are demi-gods. They want the power and the adulation..

I can absolutely say that about him.

I have empathy for Gerry and his family as cancer is horrible for all involved.

But the rest of what you typed applies specifically and abundantly to Gerry.

Lost in all this is that they both flat-out suck at their jobs.

This can’t be overemphasized. They are both awful, attention-seeking zeros.
Condolences to you and your family. Little guy was a member of your family for 16 years, which is great.

And… TD is a terrific site. I don’t post much but I love the site and have for more than 20 years. But with all the other forums and topics on the site for posters to argue and keyboard fight with each other, I’ll never understand why people downvote posts like yours.

Kiawah should have been the crowning moment for Phil’s career.

Agree. And it was a tremendous career.

It was electric and its shame the LIV stuff has overshadowed it

FIGJAM has no one to blame but himself. Unlike Rahm, Bryson and Niemann, to name a few, he didn't just join the LIV exhibition league; he worked hard to create it while trying to tear apart the PGA and spreading silly lies about "growing the game."

He didn't care about the game, the Tour, other players, or his place in history as a golfing icon off the course. He wanted a big bag of money as his career was winding down - and he wanted it NOW.

FIGJAM got his big bag, and now he is dealing with public perception of what he did to get it, where he got it from, and the public reveal that he's actually always been a greedy, selfish, and lousy person.

Phil has always been a douche. It got overshadowed by his game, which was top notch.

When his game started slipping, you see it more.

Spot on.

Yeah, almost 2 decades

True! I forget how old he is and how old I am. He was terrific over a long stretch of time.

Cam Smith was a top 30 to 50 player, got hot for a year, played well and won a major.

This… Smith is a PERFECT fit for the LIV exhibition league.

Good for him to get the bag he wasn’t going to earn on the PGA Tour.

Should he be this bad? Of course not, but I’m not sure why so many still expect him to be a top 10 or close player either

I don’t think many people do, aside from Jim Tiger who insists he would still be a star on the PGA tour, and that the Tour somehow misses him. He’s not and the Tour doesn’t.

He was, for a time, a world-class golfer and a star on the PGA tour.

But for the past four years? He’s wealthy, washed, and enjoys the lifestyle with his wife 24/7. He’s perfect; indeed, he’s the poster boy, for the LIV exhibition league.
quote:

I have no problem with the PGA Tour being successful. I don’t think Jay should be in charge & he won’t be for much longer

Where you are wrong is stating that PGA Tour’s success = LIV Failure.

It doesn’t have to be a comparison or even a competition. Id like to see both tours be successful & for some type of agreement between the two where we get to see the best golfers in the world playing against each other more than 4x/year.

Every bit of this is false.

You're a good/reasonable poster on other boards (hell, you're a knowledgeable poster on the Golf Board about matters other than LIV), but you've been the biggest pimp for the Saudi exhibition tour on the Golf Board since before they cranked up the music, donned their short pants, did Tequila shots, and begged people to find them on the internet... somewhere on the internet. "Really, we're there. On the internet. Watch us. Please."

You're slowing down now because the public verdict is in and it's final: LIV is an embarrassing joke. But there were times when I actually thought you worked for LIV.

You told some whoppers... about the PGA tour (its leadership, players, tournament attendance, and TV ratings), LIV TV ratings, LIV exhibition event attendance figures, the multitude of "stars" in the Saudi league, etc.

My favorite wasn't your biggest whopper, but I used to just laugh when you would implore us to accept that Anthony Kim was going to "return" to being a star. "Keep on eye on Kim, his game is really coming around." Absurd. And you're a smart poster. You know this is absurd.

Pride posts a lot about LIV, but I actually enjoy his posts as they counter the craziness and propaganda that you throw out.

As I said, beyond the LIV topic, I enjoy your posts on TD.
