I found a $100 bill on the floor of the produce section. I took it to customer service, where they probably pocketed it.

They do this with certain college sports as well, hiring foreign coaches who recruit only foreign players in our state universities. That coach played 4-5 years on an American scholarship.

These foreign athletes aren’t supposed to get NIL either because they are student visas, somehow they make more than if they played professionally.
Bought a farm before crop prices and rent skyrocketed.

Why was Biden the president that relaxed masking rules in April 2021 and then dropped the TSA / travel requirements in April 2022? If Trump knew the shutdown/Fauci approach was bullshite a year before in April 2020, why did he let the country suffer

The airline rules were self imposed. Biden then made it a federal mandate. A judge in Florida finally ruled against the Biden administration and everyone realized the mask requirements were stupid and we moved on.

Anyone that wants the government to give us free stuff has never been to a Charity hospital.

Anyone that wants government run healthcare should be required to have TriCare. In fact Congress should be required to use Tricare.
Brownsville is really the only place you can scrap ships in the US. I’m glad to see they are going to start building ships. They likely won’t have crazy environmental regulations that have hurt other US shipyards.
After he marries his old lady, that raccoon will have a tragic accident, or maybe he just misplaced it.

There was a post on here a couple of months ago about a record exec who was taken to a shady meeting where they were told to promote gangster rap.

Islands are generally social welfare money pits: Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

The only people living there are US military personnel, some British government workers, Filipino service workers and a few Mauritians. The whole island is on the government’s dime but its strategic importance is vital to the economic and defense interests of the USA.

There truly are no natives to the islands as they were initially brought there in the 1800s to work on the coconut plantations.

Go to an ophthalmologist if it doesn’t get better soon. I had one that kept getting worse and the initial antibiotics didn’t work.
Drank some beers with them in Djibouti. They were nice guys, a lot cooler than the French Navy assholes.
It seemed like 80% of the ads I saw and heard were for the Yes vote. Barack Obama had an ad before every YouTube video.

The No side came on a little late. There were a lot of people on the No side that weren’t mobilized to vote.
A second pipeline from Canada to Texas would have been nice as well.
I met Kristi’s husband while on a hunting trip in SD. Seemed like a good guy. She was the governor at the time, I had no idea who he was until someone told me later, he seemed a lot cooler than Corey.
Because if we do get rid of it, our ports and rivers will be filled with Chinese and Indian mariners running into bridges, dumping oil and spying on the US. We won’t have a merchant marine and China will have the upper hand in moving troops and supplies.
The Jones Act is a band aid until the US wakes up and starts building our own ships and trains our young men and women to work at sea.
My lab ate a sock, when they did the X-ray they found all sorts of other things it ate, bread ties, pen caps.
The election was held during a government shutdown. Lots of time for government workers to get out and vote.
Plus, Sears wasn’t a great candidate at the top of the ticket. She lacked charisma and came off poorly.
Unfortunately, Jay Jones won the attorney general spot ahead of Miyares who was a good candidate and will be a good candidate for governor in 4 years.

I think subsidizing day care increases the costs for those not getting subsidies. The military just increased their childcare subsidy payment and now daycare in my area now charges the same amount as the subsidy, increasing the price for those not subsidized.

We dont let NFL players move from team to team at their whim every year. They sign contracts which lock them into place somewhat. Schools and conferences can and should have contractual rules that players have to abide by

I think the NCAA is trying to avoid this because it would make them employees of the school. But, it seems like this is where it’s going to.
When Saban was coaching people started going to Mass so they could see him, now Baton Rouge is going to to start getting a lot more flexible.
