Maybe to find out what media are snakes in the grass. Although were I in charge I'd assume they are ALL snakes in the grass.
This outcome DOES help the public to understand that the 'media' isn't looking out for the citizen public's best interests.

So that a field reporter can be embedded with the tactical unit, similar to war reporters being embedded with infantry. It's a good thing. Provides transparency to what ICE is doing amd how they are handling themselves.
I'll always be a fan of transparency in police actions. If anyone in the media did use their access to leak information on action plans though, they 100% need to be prosecuted for any crime they could be stuck with.
