Somebody compared this to Swallwell and that's not apples to apples. Her family is from Taiwan so not commie China.
But I agree with the sentiment that her getting into the Maritime position was to help the family business and not to mention marrying Mitch was helpful.
For all of Trumps talk about draining the swamp, making her a cabinet member was swampy.
The family of Mitch and Elaine is one of opportunity and self/family promotion and enrichment. Mitch did do some good things on the judiciary and I'll be thankful to him when he refused to put up Obama's SCOTUS nominee for a hearing after Scalia was murdered. He took a ton of heat for that.
But as he got older he became more swampy and overbearing.
You guys remember Elaine Chao's younger sister that was married to a billionaire investment guy who stated he was pulling his investments out of China for the time being. Months later on their Texas Ranch Elaine's sister was backing up leaving a guest house and backed it into a pond and they couldn't get her out of the Tesla and she died. That's crazy situation and coincidence isn't it.

I have seen these reports she fled to China, but am skeptical. I don’t doubt that she may have married McConnell for political opportunity and financial gain, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s a Chinese spy. I think it’s likely she’s more of an opportunist.
