Hegseth doesn’t fall under the UCMJ and Massie can’t initiate a charge under the UCMJ to begin with. Jesus Christ people on here are dumb.
Again, please don't use the Lord's name in vain.
As a retired officer, Hegseth is still subject to the UCMJ in the same way that Senator Mark Kelly is subject to the UCMJ.
I said that I couldn't see a legal theory for "High Crime, etc." unless it was some wild theory about taking a UCMJ violation and claiming that was the High Crime.
That's one of the serious problems with Massie’s attempt. See...logic, not tribalism.

Not dude. They voteed and didn’t pass. Multiple times now. Again you’re a moron.
Aside from the fact that's not how it works to start with according to the constitution.
It passed the house.
AKA it could not and would not pass the house if done properly according to the constitution.
Let me guess, you don't care about the constitution because you aren't a conservative.

Stop acting like a Christian when you’re a pos with extreme hate for Trump and his supporters.

Wrong the senate voted on war powers multiple times initiated by Massie himself. Each time they couldn’t get the vote to end it. Again do homework and know what you’re talking about.

Massie is a member of the house, not a member of the senate.
In order for anything he initiates to reach the senate, it has to pass the house first.
UNLESS another senator can introduce a companion bill in the senate.
However, the house passed the bill. So again, both the house and senate did not vote against it.
Which is to say, you could not get a proper vote on the war if it was attempted and the war does not have congressional approval.

You're right. I shouldn't have called you an idiot. You haven't earned it.
Apologies.
Apologies.

Summary execution of people who were taking cocaine from Venezuela to Trinidad based on a ginned up terror threat is wild. But, I am more interested in the Iran war powers angle as the executive needs to be reined in here.

Something you will never see, the Democratic Socialists attacking any of their comrades......with the possible exception of Fetterman.

I agree the war powers is the more important issue.
But the execution thing is something Obama would do with drones and shite too, and it shouldn't be allowed. I don't know why that suddenly became acceptable. I'd like to see it reined in as well.
I don't know much about the infighting. I'm sure that place is probably loaded with people who need to go, but I have no way of knowing who those people are, and if that is what he is really doing. So I just don't have much opinion on that.
But I do know the saying - if you meet 3 assholes before lunch, you're the a-hole.

Also, I would say there's a 5% chance of conviction in the Senate.
Maybe 0.5%. If that.

So again, you support Mike Johnson blocking the spending cut.
What? Please link to me making that statement. I can think Johnson is a POS and that Massie is a POS.

It wasn't dems who duped him
He was duped none the less and was the deciding vote in committee. Glad he won’t be able to get duped like that and F us over again.

The SecDef doesn't make policy. He carries it out. Mashole knows this.
That's why he styled it as following illegal orders.

Oh, y'all do some crying over someone criticizing or calling out Trump. Especially when it's over him completely disregarding promises.

This thread is about Thomas Massie trying to impeach Pete Hegseth for orders given to him by his Commander in Chief Donald Trump.
