You are right, we are not the same.

You are a neoconservative. You support big government, foreign wars, deficit spending, the police state and government enforcement of social structure.

I am a conservative. I support conserving the constitution, the republic it outlines, and believe the only real proper job of the government is to protect the liberties of the people it represents, which includes things like defense/foreign policy, an honest monetary system and the basic functions laid out by the constitution. States should handle domestic issues, not the federal government.

Here is why I think of you as no different than a democrat:

You both get upset when I talk about how you want to steal the wealth of your fellow citizens to carry out your agendas because you are scared to death that someone might choose not to support yours.

You both get upset when I talk about getting rid of the government and reducing government spending.

Both of you sell yourselves not on the government you want, but by promising to rid/free everyone from the government the other "side" wants, because most people do not want your agenda. And if they had the freedom to tell you, they'd tell you to piss off.

Go door to door and see how many people want to pay for your wars, police state and so forth.

And that's not even counting the amount of corruption and theft that goes on.

I believe people are the ones that should have the power, and that happens from decentralization and freedom, not the government.

It's all theft. They steal the wealth of their fellow citizens and redistribute it to others. Corruption is even worse, but even if they were just using it for welfare it's still stealing the wealth and resources of others.

And people support it because it doesn't actually cost them anything. Just like it doesn't seemingly cost you anything to volunteer peoples wealth and resources for your agenda.

The #1 way people in this world sin is by using their government to do it for them.
