Yes, Virginia is the most conservative of top ten law schools. I took a class with Antonin Scalia at UVA. He was on the DC Circuit at the time. He would come to Charlottesville for Friday night and Saturday morning classes.
I was a law clerk for a Reagan appointed federal district court judge. I am a Christian Nationalist and belong to the same religious denomination as Pete Hegseth. I am not a progressive.

None of this has anything to do with the fact that this Iran war is going against the globalist agenda and grain. This is self-evident in the fact that our NATO "allies" refused to even let us use their airspace for this war.
Trying to claim this is a globalist endeavor is absurd on its face and easily refuted with a simple glance at how it has unfolded.

I'm sorry I don't have time to respond to every question. You think Massie is COWARDLY regarding Trump??? Talk about stupid. More than all the rest of the Republicans combined, Massie has stood up to Trump.
As for WHY he didn't file to impeach Trump, I think he probably will try to throw in some variant of the UMCJ prohibition against following illegal orders to bootstrap this in a way that he can do with Hegseth that he couldn't with Trump...an actual "High Crime or Misdemeanor" to fit the Constitutional impeachment requirement.
POLITICALLY, Massie probably has heard some talk that Republicans would support removal of Hegseth. If Trump's War is a disaster (I don't think it will be), Hegseth might be a good scapegoat.
FWIW, ideologically, I couldn't be closer to Hegseth. We are in the same religious denomination. I think his book about the rot of secular education is paradigm-shifting. I have recommended it many times here.
Hegseth's theatrics and attitude has made him many enemies. Massie probably chose the best target he could to have the war powers discussion that he wants. As mentioned, I doubt Massie's stunt will work.
Maybe he's doing it in anticipation of an independent run in 2028. Many conservatives think Trump's war has been a betrayal of America First foreign policy. Personally, I'm not there...yet.
ETA: unless it's an election, I don't SUPPORT anyone. I agree with them when they support my policies or state the truth. I don't if that's not true.

I voted for Trump in 2024.
I voted for him because the 2020 election was obviously stolen. The lawfare against him was also very obivous to anyone who has bought a house at some point in their life. And he had multiple assassination attempts.
Additionally, what he campaigned on and what he has done is much different. He was supposed to expose the Epstein stuff, stop the foreign wars like Ukraine(Day 1 he claimed), reduce government corruption/spending. Slash government departments.
I know he wasn't a conservative, but I he was pushing some good conservative points.
I do not generally have many complaints about immigration, except that he wants to give many of them amnesty and I bet he does after the midterms.
Oh and the abortion thing of the 1st term was good, I liked him a little for that.
And then he got elected, increased spending, increased the very government agencies attacking him, started a foreign war and campaigned against any conservative who dared speak out against it.
I hoped that after all the shite they did to him and the way he was talking he would actually drain the swamp. But instead he did the opposite. Even with the legal stuff it seems mostly directed towards people who attacked him rather than getting any real changes done.
How long do you think your shitty attempts at shaming people are going to work?

The conservative position is to be against wars like these.
Almost all wars are bankers war. This has to do with maintaining the US as the global trade enforcer and the federal reserve being the worlds reserve currency holder.
Iran is simply not an actual threat to the US in any other way.
