Not happening. Rubio has the “it” factor.

Why does everyone forget that Rubio...himself...said he would not run if Vance did and he would 100% back Vance?

This board has become so amazingly neo-con.

I will say this, I was very surprised at how well of a job he has done. When he was in Congress he had the worst voting record in the history of Congress. The guy was never there to vote.

The media, democrats and republican establishment is pushing Rubio. Why would that not be a massive red flag for any MAGA :America first/Republican voter under 50?

I’m afraid that getting elected senator as a Tea Party candidate, then groping Johnny McCain three weeks later and calling for amnesty is, well, not forgivable.

Young Marco was a back bencher and a firebrand. He tried to gain popularity and relevance as a politician by trying to be a uniter, and ended up taking advice from too many deep staters, like McCain.

Once he embraced MAGA, he has never been more popular, and he seems to be in his most natural state - not overthinking everything and trying not to offend people.

Trump has taught Marco and others that you dont need to be afraid of liberals calling you names and you don't need to be afraid of offending people who would never vote for you, anyway...

I think the current version of Marco is the "real" Marco and he knows that he has never been more popular...

He gained office by pretending to be a Tea Party member then shite all over that as soon as he got to DC. This isn't even debatable.

Oh, we agree there. His "most natural state" is exploiting political angles and that's exactly what he's doing. He saw a chance to jump to the next level and he's taking full advantage of it.

Rubio would be much better than Vance. Vance is a go-along who changes himself to fit whatever he thinks will advance Vance. Rubio at least has ideas and necessary skills.

Fascinating behavior to see so many falling for Rubio. Just a short time ago, just about any thread about Rubio got significant downvotes.

Here's one about him calling for the Rep party to change with the times. 112 DV on the OP and lots of posters in there trashing him.

Remember when Christie made him basically melt mentally during the 2016 debate, and he repeated the same memorized line like 3 times?

People have short memories.

Rubio is a bush/neocon doing their bidding during the Trump admin. Certainly not America first.

I found the problem.

He wasn't in Trump's good graces back then. Speeches, actual votes, policy; all of that takes a back seat to his relation to Trump.

I searched by "subject" only for Rubio. As I was going back in time, the OPs went from overwhelmingly positive to overwhelmingly negative coinciding with his current SOS appointment, Intelligence committee appointment, defeated Rep POTUS candidate.

Maybe. Like many, DeSantis had fallen out of favori with me, but he has been showing big nads lately.

He’s a hard worker who has Trump’s favor, and could make a comeback.

No, he doesn't. He's a standard neocon with a Hispanic name and skin tone Trump beat him by 20+% in Florida in 2016.

When I read these boomers fawning over an obvious Cuban shill (for whichever lobby pays him more), it reminds me why the party was in such a horrible shape in 2008. They learned nothing and are unable to discern obvious bullshite in politics.

Rubio will be whatever his highest donor needs him to be. He's like Mendendez, but smarter about how he takes those bribes.
