I'll enter the gauntlet on this.

The argument I hear is that it's predominantly poor/under-educated Black people that have this issue with authority. I see the argument that it often extends to poor/under-educated white people as well ("florida man" comes to mind).

I think their are two issues here. Poor/under-educated Black and white individuals not respecting authority; however, the socio-economic challenges due to structural racism skew toward many Black people being systemically poor/under-educated with limited opportunities/support to overcome this. The other issue is grouping Black people together despite socio-economic differences, which often include differences on how certain Black people respect authority (as many Black people do).

Have you seen how little the needle has moved on voting patterns. No other group is as locked into group think as are black Americans.

Ma'Khia Bryant earned her death. Cop acted accordingly and in conjunction with Ohio law.

The fact that you capitalized Black and not White speaks volumes here...

I can agree with that and do believe blind faith in a specific political party is one of the biggest issues in our country.

Your post is 100% on point and it is the Jupiter sized elephant in the room. No one is willing to speak this MANIFESTLY APPARENT truth because it confers that statistical figures not favorable to blacks are largely by their own doing and not the result of evil, maniacal whites. Yet anyone and everyone can go on TV and spread extremely dangerous, inflammatory, totally false, and hate inspiring conspiracy theories about whites that walk a fine line of sounding very much like the sentiments commonly denounced as "racist" when applied to blacks.

The glaring and fundamental conclusion that has to be drawn at this point is that whites have to stop being too afraid to stand up and speak in defense of common sense due to fear of being ostracized and called names by people YOU KNOW are full of shite. Whether they are your friends or not. If we aren't willing to stand up for ourselves and speak truth do we really deserve anything different?

Sorry if I offended you by not capitalizing white. I capitalize Black because that's my understanding of preference. I don't capitalize white because I do not believe that it's a widespread preference to do that.

Nailed it. Black culture has the mother of knife wielding teen come on claiming she was all peaceful and Student of the Decade type, looking for her 27 million now.

am finding it very hard to see the value of the "black community" and wonder how many problems would magically go away if that community no longer existed...

Just about every single problem a city has would disappear with the black community.

Except traffic, that's white people fault for moving away from the problems created by the black community.

It isn't a widespread preference for black people either, just the squeaky wheel activists you think speak for some monolith among black America.

I think something like 70-75 percent of all black children in the United States are raised by a single mother.

An accurate statistic that is NEVER mentioned except for by BLM who is trying to say that the family unit is a product of white supremacy.

Fortune 500 companies are falling all over themselves to hire blacks.

Don’t have kids out of wedlock at age 15 and stay in school. A clear path exists. But for the community eschewing responsibility and the traditional family, success is waiting. Give me now has to end.

This thread delivers.

It’s almost as if you guys put into words what I have seen as an inner city cop for almost 20 years.

I feel for you.

A cop friend in a bad zone here said thugs would spit on them claiming they had covid when all this shite started.

Our DA said to arrest them for attempted murder though.

Glad I don’t live in a Democrat shite hole.

I’m utterly outraged that absolutely no responsibility is expected of Black America. And I’m sure many blacks are disappointed by this as well.

The left always goes way too far, way too quickly, and God I pray it bites them.
