Gravy is a cut rate Cleo Fields at this point, running with no chance of winning to make money off his campaign funds.

Him winning would be proof of voting fraud IMHO.

Billy Nungesser is a RINO who asked a hooker to defecate on him

NicotineFree is a tree hugger with dog breath.

Stick to actual issues. Not smears. Or we get another JBE type.

If Pinky Nungesser runs, there will be tons of personal dirt thrown at him (some by his own family). It's unavoidable.

I've started hearing that he may be reconsidering running for Governor. I'm not sure if I'm happy or disappointed by that (happy, because it would mean he couldn't win even by accident since he wouldn't be running, disappointed because you can't run for Governor and Lt Governor at the same time thus if/when he lost he would be out of state political office for a while).

I agree with this, but I still expect LA republicans to frick this up, as usual. shite, even when they've won, like the last time they 'succeeded' and got a GOP governor, they ended up hating him.

ULM political science professor Joshua Stockley says a lot will depend on who controls the U.S. Senate after the federal midterm elections.

I'm not really following how this would matter vis-a-vis the LA Governors race.

So Cassidy threw in with the national DNC after riding Trump to victory.

The other 4 were democrats 20 yeas ago.

Louisiana’s two Senators are both potential gubernatorial candidates. They are more likely to stay in the senate if the GOP is in control because they will likely be given powerful committee chairmanships. If the GOP loses the Senate, then they may see the governor’s office as a more attractive job.

Is this going to be the pro-Nungesser talking point?

That's only if the usual Republican voters in Louisiana either stay home or don't cast a ballot for the Governor's runoff election.

Cassidy vs. Gary Chambers...are that many Republicans going to either not cast a vote or vote for Chambers out of their dislike for Cassidy?

What about if it's Cedric Richmond? Or Gary Smith or Walt Leger.

I think it was less that and more some posters here hated on her for a while because she was on TV asking people to get the COVID vaccine after her husband's death.

Which was dumb for the hate if it came from big Trump fans, because he did the same thing, went on TV telling people it was safe and saying he got it himself. Hell, the Trump Administration was the ones who initiated the Project Warp Speed to the vaccine.

Neither of them advocated for a vaccine mandate, but for some reason she was judged differently.

Oh... and you also said "a Rispone". That could be a reason for downvotes too, as that guy ran a HORRIBLE campaign guided by mostly grifters who cared more about making money off donors than actually winning.

I will say, though, Congressman Letlow would not be in my Top 10 of Gov candidates, just because I'd want to see more of how she handles issues that are more closely related to home.
