Not reading through the full thread but has the governor of SC made any noise about a temporary placeholder for him?
Posted on 7/12/26 at 3:39 pm to teke184
The Governor of South Carolina has the authority to appoint a temporary interim senator to serve until January 3 following the next general election. The governor has broad discretion and is not legally required to appoint someone from the same political party as the departing senator. No statement has been released as yet.

People die of heart attacks or aneurysms commonly. But the non-descript sudden and brief illness opens up the door to wide speculation. And people need to stop pretending that the Russians don’t assassinate their own people through creative ways. Not saying that’s what happened, I would call it very unlikely, but to dismiss the idea completely isn’t paying attention.

People are shopping today that have no idea or care who Lindsey Graham is or was..

As another poster or two pointed out, when did Graham ever talk about South Carolina?
It seemed like every trip or network appearance was either talking about events abroad or he would go into campaign mode and tell Sensei's audience he needed funding to fight off the Dems.

Wow, I would not have expected the turtle to outlive Graham

Me neither, but we're stretching the term "outlive". He's a vegetable on life support most likely.
It bears repeating that Turtle continuing to live on via life support is a fitting way to go for a guy who loved using procedural maneuvers to delay things.

A brief and sudden illness? Wtf was it? He was 71. I wonder if this will be one of those things where we find out later on that he had some cancer or some shite, but they kept it quiet the entire time. If it was a private person i can respect that approach. But not from a senator who is a public figure and has constituents.
Age matter when one is over 60.

I wonder what his calcium score was.

I can’t really say anything about LG that hasn’t already been said. Didn’t care for his feminine vibe. And I was always skeptical of him after Rush dubbed him “Lindsey Grahamnesty”. I did like his performance in the Kavanaugh hearing, though it did seem a little bit contrived. May he rest in peace.

I was always taught to never say anything bad about someone at their death and I’ll hold to that, and I had a lot of disagreements with Lindsey Graham that I won’t detail for a bit. In lieu of that, I’ll hope he rests in peace and wish his family nothing but grace and healing in their time of suffering. May God bless both them and him.
I’ll also take the opportunity to warn everyone here that his cause of death clearly stemmed from working a high stress job combined with travel. An aortic dissection like that, he clearly suffered from hypertension and that was exacerbated by both his job and the stress of travel. Take the time to take care of yourself. Lot of uncontrolled hypertension out there.

The 911 audio was said to have been obtained by CNN via broadcastify. TMZ with photos of his gurney. His sister Darline lives in SC. Maryland caller could have been anyone. It is rare to change numbers anymore upon moving.

Lindsey Graham Dead
Apparently, this has all been a huge HOAX. Scott Jennings just assured his audience that he spoke with Lindsay today for about 17 minutes and he has never been healthier.
