They must be desperate as all heck to try Ron's! failed strategy to discredit President Trump's handling of COVID, but I'm here for another round of this.

President Trump didn't give "so much power" to Fauci.

In fact, the opposite is true: he refused to let Fauci’s agency, or the traditional public health bureaucracy, control the entire pipeline.

OWS took widened the command structure, brought in DOD and private industry, and ran development, manufacturing and logistics at the same time, ultimately removing power and control from Fauci.

Fauci wasn't handed control of a damn thing. He begged Trump for Federally mandated nationwide lock downs: Trump told him to kick rocks.

The governors may have ceded power to Fauci, but President Trump limited him.

These people are stupid

Well “millions died” according to dems because of trumps covid failings anyway and they didn’t put him in jail for that.

Everything that is negative relating to Trump is fake news or a hoax.

Everything negative against everyone else is true and honest.

bingo

He played it “safe” to win in 2020. I don’t blame him because that’s what politicians do.

Well this is not what anyone here has said. Your hyperbole seems to extend beyond your Covid panic. Sad.

At the very beginning, yeah of course. You would've done differently in the situation?

Yeah, I would have done differently.

Trump was also the one of the first screaming to open everything back up if I remember correctly.

At times he did this. Other times he was shoveling cash out to the governors and mayors to enable them to shut everything down.

He also did Yeoman's work in funding the whole shitshow. Lockdowns would have lasted about two days if fedgov wasn't paying for everything + funding Dem pet projects.

Huh? It was a Trump appointed judge that knocked down the federal mask mandates in 2022.

All the people doing the it was the states, not Trump line ignore 2 major points re: Trump

1. The national emergency he declared, which facilitated basically all of the bad stuff

2. Promising states trillions for shutting down and following the federal rules

He could have reversed course on both and few, if any, states would have closed down.

Damn just beat me

*ETA: watch, when this is pointed out, destroying that narrative, they're going to pivot and ignore this and move to cope-level 2 and claim he'd have been impeached

I blame him. We elect politicians (in theory) to make the hard decisions when the chips are down.

Because Trump was naive to the strength of the deep state plan against him. He came into the Presidency in 2016 appointing people with name recognition and even some from across the aisle. He wrongly assumed both sides would work for the collective good. He also greatly underestimated the amount of cheating that would be tolerated to unseat him in 2020. He got burned badly for this naïveté. So in his second term he’s much more openly countering the hostility against him, and demanding loyalty from his staff appointees.

He didn’t have an option to not leave it up to dem governors. Basic civics. Do you think it was wise of Ron to leave it to local
Municipalities? He didn’t have to do that.

Because of his tactics and decisions he made.

That’s my point.

I think the executives in power at the time were put in an unwinnable position with Covid. Trump and the governors were dealt a shut hand and were damned if they do and fanned if they don’t.
