To the left, congrats I guess, y'all had a big day.

To the center/independents, I hope you're really paying attention to see if voting off "vibes" pays off.

To the right, take it in, but this too shall pass. The more I think about it, the more i'm ok with a deadlocked congress. Its not like we did anything useful when we had control. Tariff war plus Iran was too much, at least before the midterms. Hispanic support was already declining with ICE stuff. there just wasn't enough time.

Regardless, the pendulum will swing. Just keep your head down to avoid getting hit.

God Bless America

I can’t help but be very mad at Republicans and Trump for this. I’m not even looking in the other direction with contempt.

You can laugh at the results of their tantrum though.

This isn't necessarily wrong, but the losses are bigger because of where they happened and the type of candidates we lost to, IMO.

The problem with this thinking is it's not a true pendulum. Its heavily weighted toward the swing left. Even if it does swing back right, it won't swing as far right as it's been in the past. And the pendulum defies all logic and swings even farther left the next time.

Same

Hubristic and short sighted.

But yesterday was a knee jerk reaction to high prices, not a reflection on where we are as a country. The country will readjust in two years.

My main concern is if the democrats maintain control of Congress and win the Presidency in 2028, then the southern floodgates will be opened fully and an unsurmountable number of new voters are let in. They will be strategically settled, too and mass amnesty.

Also, we lose the Supreme Court.

We will be in a real world of hurt then.

The Senate seats won't.

Agreed...although I'm at this point not sure R's can recover enough to hold the Presidency, or take the House. The 18-35s are not going to give some sort of long leash to the Dems. They were not voting on abortion or Israel or anything else than - we can't get jobs, everything is expensive, and we can't buy a house.

I’m with it.

Honestly I’m holding out hope. What if there’s a world where you get some Clinton-esque era Dems in?

The Dems lost in 2024 because of lawfare, transgender bullshite, and the open border. If they stay away from that, there’s a legit chance for them to hold onto power. The GOP lost in 2026 because they did nothing with the power they got in 2024. Also because of America First vs MAGA and a very oddly advised war with Iran.

But I legit think the GOP lost on purpose. I don’t know why but I honestly think this was what they wanted. We’ll see if it pays off.
