How did Trump and the right screw it up this bad? They had the podcast 40 and under eating out of their hand and all they had to do was not bomb the Middle East cut H1Bs and shore up the border. They could even just not do the first one and people would have been ok. They are just like friggin addicts at this point. They can’t help but bomb.

Cash from the MIC trumps all that.

I mean, yeah. I think it is clear for most people were done with wars like Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan... Long, protracted full scale wars based on questionable motivations and false statements, where we are involved in battle halfway around the world with American troops on the ground for 10 and 20+ years, with thousands of American troop casualtiies, ungodly amounts of tax payer dollars spent so a few elitist war profiteers can line their pockets at our expense. Newsflash, Trump is tired of that too.

HOWEVER, to act as if we would never be put in a situation around the world where military intervention isn't needed, or should never be authorized, is complete bullshite. It's a small world and it's a global economy. Certain bad actor countries make it a point to go out of their way to attack other countries and sometimes that negatively impacts our interests, our security etc.

All these people whining about Iran, after just 4 months with no troops on the ground, and the chance to rid a significant threat to this country for half a century and key allies---not to mention the number one state sponsor of terrorism around the globe--is not so ridiculous. Not once has President Trump ever said, "I will not engage another country militarily outside of the U.S., no matter what." He was clear in his first term when some countries like N. Korea started getting out of line that we would beat them down if we have to... and he has been clear about his "peace through strength" philosophy.

Sometimes to keep or bring peace in the longterm, you're going to have to show your strength. MF's are going to test you at some point. That's where we are now.

So, people need to stop with their woke-right crybaby TDS bullshite and sensationalism, comparing this to Bush/Cheney and Johnson with Vietnam... It's not the same scenario at all.

i'll never forget back during the micheal vick dog fighting scandal how she was outraged that micheal vick had RAPE ROOMS FOR DOGS! she's an idiot.

i don't mind war as much as i mind losing war, and all obama and bush did was lose wars, create chaos and make things worse only to get chased out of country by teenage boys in light duty toyota pick up trucks. at least we've degraded iran's military to the point it's been set back 20 years.

the only real job bush or obama has ever had was president. when trump's life is over president of the united states will be a footnote.

Is that why Trump is begging for a deal on Truth Social? All of the winning?

Huh?? Who told her to do that oh wise one? What an ignorant statement.
I’ve never been a huge fan but she’s been good this term. Calling out Trump in interview about H1B and keeping the fire on the republicans for certain globalist tendencies they were voted in to not do.

Not quite, Laura. Americans are done with FOREIGN wars. What we’d be up for, and most won’t admit it but deep down they know they’d be for it, is to go to war against the American communist socialist democrats. Not only would they support it, they’d volunteer for it and support it.

Many of us have been saying since the current conflict in the ME began nearly 6 months ago.

It's not enemies outside the gates who are the immediate threat, it's the enemies inside the gates who have allied with our foreign adversaries who are the immediate threat to the constitutional republic.

We have been lied into too many wars going back to AFG and Iraq.

Nothing in the hellhole of the ME ever changes. Our boys die, we spend trillions, and the ME rages on as it always has.

I understand the rationale for an intervention in Iran. Midnight Hammer was risky but worth it. You can argue that taking them down a notch in terms of military capabilities was also worth it.

Fine. We did that. Now GTFO and let the chips fall where they may. If need be, we can play wack-a-mole again if/when they can muster some other credible threat. This war should have always been framed as a short-term engagement. All of Trump's bold and bombastic proclamations set expectations far too high.

Iran may well be Trump's Waterloo. If you go back and watch what he said leading into this mess, he clearly had no idea about what was actually going to happen. Some combination of neocons, our MIC, and Netanyahu flattered him into thinking our naive approach would have us out of there in a few weeks.

So yeah, anyone with a brain who's been paying attention to US foreign policy since 9/11 knew a war with Iran would be an epic shitshow.

Trump got played. Hope he finds an off-ramp by the midterms.

This is bull seeing how much people cry over the price of oil.

$10/gallon and people would volunteer to go dig Saddam up and kill him again.
