Murdoch's Wall Street Journal no less. But don't worry, if it's not true Musk will sue their asses off for libel...
But if it is true - and we expect that Murdoch knows the libel laws - and Musk stays in his bunker, it'll be Christmas for every human rights lawyer in the country. Pay day.
For those readers that think I'm over-exaggerating, here is Exhibit #1:
Won't be nationalized but every lawyer in DC will ride Mr. Deep Pockets with endless motions. It'll be the new cottage industry for the East Coast legal profession - cottages on Hampstead and Martha's Vineyard that is.

WASHINGTON—Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, a decision that sparked panic in Kyiv and confusion inside the Trump administration, U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter said.

WSJ reports Elon Musk personally ordered a slowdown of the military-grade Starlink service relied on by Ukraine, rendering some offensive and interceptor drones virtually useless. Musk and Trump discussed the decision after it became public, while one source says they had also discussed it beforehand. Musk had publicly said such restrictions were up to the US military and president; Trump said Monday he did not know who was responsible.

This is Inna Maryukhna and her 1-year-old daughter, Anhelina. ?Russia killed them on October 19 when a drone struck a local park in Nova Vodolaha where families were resting.
Inna was a primary school teacher at Nova Vodolaha Lyceum No. 1. The lyceum shared the news on their FB

I never thought I'd say this, but Starlink and Starshield need to be taken entirely out of Musk's hands. If they can't be nationalized he must be forced to sell them. We cannot have one man who's not even elected making decisions like this.

Trump and Musk see all of this through the lens of how it can serve them best. They probably, this is speculation, think that forcing Ukraine to surrender would somehow be beneficial to them. It costing lives and appeasing a us adversary is inconsequential.
I struggle to think which us president not named Trump would have done this. He makes Carter look like Churchill.

Trump's desire to execute the "art of the deal" is clouding his judgement ...

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff has called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “humanitarian” after arriving in St. Petersburg for talks about ending the war in Ukraine.
In a video posted to social media, Witkoff thanked Putin for describing President Donald Trump as a “humanitarian” and added: “You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that, I commend you, and I thank you again.”
The talks began a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy insisted that any negotiations over his country’s future must include Kyiv.

Russia promised the US 300,000 barrels of diesel. U.S. burns that in 3 hours. The volume moves neither prices nor supply. Witkoff thanked Putin for it.
300,000 tonnes. Followed by 500,000 and 1 million in winter.

Trump has announced plans for Russia to supply 300,000 metric tonnes of diesel initially, followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and another 1 million tonnes thereafter.

1.8mm tons spread out like that will not move the needle. That's assuming Russia has it to send.

Trump is desperate for any cease fire or peace agreement before the midterms. Any win to try to mitigate his 74% disapproval rating with independent voters.
It's all about pressuring Zelensky to quit. Musk comes up with the idea of preventing the Ukrainians from shooting down the Russian long range drones by shutting and limiting the speed of Starlink. Thus allowing the Russians to kill more civilians that would have been defended otherwise.
Now both Trump and Musk are lying their asses off about it as this is clear criminal intent. And someone has told them that if anyone was killed and the Ukrainians have the radar records of defensive drones failing due to their efforts (and they most certainly do), then it is culpable homicide.
Didn't think that one through, did you Rocket Boy? There's all that genius working again.
Watch this space in 2028 when the new Democratic President nominates God's Own Son-of-a-Bitch for Attorney General. If you think this is far-fetched, just keep an eye on the media narrative going forward. Musk will do everything he can to shape future jury pools. Just remember, this will be a Federal jurisdiction, not Texas. Think NYC or DC. Places where they most understand Musk.

You often hear people talk about Trump playing 4D chess...I'm not sure he can play chess at all; many of his decisions don't appear to have given any thought to the next move, much less 2 or 3 moves down the board.

Oh, so a not a few hours, but a couple of days...maybe.
Its not a real market mover relative to the politics if it.

Trump absolutely has a plan, his supporters just don't want to acknowledge it.
Trump's plan is to join the lifelong dictator club - That's his plan. He's stated on multiple occasions he admires men like Xi, Putin, Kim Jung Un, and others like them and he's following the old Soviet style takeover plan - take power, install 'yes-men,' use all power to squash political competition, and fight on all levels to stay in power until death. When you look at every questionable decision he's made, especially the company he keeps, it makes perfect sense. Stupid decisions that cost the country billions if not trillions now start to look like smart moves that personally benefit him.
That stupid "Board of Peace?" A way for dictators to get organized. Gutting multiple agencies under the name of 'efficiency' to the point they can barely do their job, much less do it effectively? Finding those 'yes men' and getting rid of everyone else while gutting the agencies ability to properly do their job and establish fair play and effective oversight. Turning on allies and starting wars? Establishing dominance, changing the subject away from real problems, and creating more and more chaos to create more and more chances at a power grab, just like in the Reichtag Fire. That whole January 6th thing? WOW is that an obvious one.
Some of ya'll are to blind to see it, but if you look at the way the Soviets and the Nazi's came to power, he's following the playbook. Stop asking yourself a decision benefits America and start asking if it benefits Trump and you will start to notice a pattern.

I did see a comment in the last week that described the star link contract language as restricting the high speed service to non combatants

Do you realize that the US is a net exporter of diesel and we export about 200,000 tons of diesel each and every day?
Russia's supply pledge is a joke.

I'm still not sure you even know what nationalization is, since you made a claim about it and have still yet to provide an example to back it up. No examples exist, of course. It's just interesting that you continue to talk about it instead of avoiding the topic.
