That “Look at that. An entire bin of watermelons that’s not empty” line was diabolical.

Man I hate my local Walmart. I’ll only go early in the morning.

Something something racist. No it's being taught manners and respect and Not playing the victim all the time. Culture problems are not everyone else's problem.

Why is detergent such a popular shoplifting target?
It has gotten very expensive since COVID. The Degree Men formula I use is close 6 or 7 dollars a can. It has nearly doubled in 5 years.
Then you have other scents and formulas that are clinical strength that they released recently and they are even higher.
It is the same with some shampoos and soaps. Who knew getting clean cost so much.
One time I was at Walmart and they had nearly the entire soap and deodorant under lock and key. I needed a two pack of some Dial soap which is pretty cheap, it was locked up. I had to get a worker to get the soap, and they put it in a security box for cashier to unlock it when I get to the register.
Instead of worrying about those staples maybe they should lock up the meats too while they are at it or go back to where stores had a meat counter and cutter in store. You need ground beef, let me scoop up a pound of the fresh stuff I just ground this morning like Whole Foods. Then put that in a security box till they get to the checkout. Heck some of the expensive whole briskets are security tagged in a wire mesh.

Just a matter of time until Walmart installs lift gates at parking lot entrances/exits. Have to present an id to enter, and have flock cameras recording every vehicle entering and exiting the parking lot.

I travel a lot and the mountain west doesn’t have to deal with locked up products in Walmart.
Most grocery stores have self check out.
It’s not like that everywhere I go and there is a noticeable distinction.

There are no racial problems only problem races.

"Diversity is our strength" is a prominent political and social slogan used to describe the benefits of a multi-ethnic, multicultural, or pluralistic society, though it remains a subject of intense public debate with sharply contrasting viewpoints.
"Everything is locked up but the sunscreen"

Always love going to the walmart in Beaver Creek
Many years ago, my wife and I went on a cross-country trip in our truck camper and got into Montrose, CO (now I’m thinking it may have been Gunnison) too late to find a wilderness spot, so we stayed at the Walmart. We bought a few things and then got breakfast the next am at McDonald’s.
We felt like we were at a resort. It became our backup plan for the next crash.

I dont think I've ever heard a coherent argument for why diversity is a strength besides circular reasoning that basically amounts to "diversity is good because diversity is good".
On the other hand there's thousands of examples throughout history of diversity being detrimental, that even the liberals would agree with. For example was diversity a strength for the american indians when they first encountered it?

Walmart could try this storeless concept.
You order everything online, the store is closed inside and is just a glorified warehouse. You get to the store, you check in the app and a worker loads your items in your car.
But the biggest draw back on this is impulse buying. Walmart and other stores make money just by you seeing items on display and that is why online shopping while good in nature will flip back to retail. That is what made the Blue Light special, special. It forced you to be in the store to get the deal and you probably picked up a few other items too. Heck, Kmart in some areas even had a cafeteria. That was another measure to get you in store and stay longer.
I could see Amazon venturing out into a retail format. They already have a retail outlet in owning Whole Foods. What’s to say instead of putting so much effort into delivery why not get the customers to come to you.

The government will find a way to move Walmart thieves to the areas where they don’t lock stuff up

Fast food restaurants in white areas won’t even seem like the same restaurant
You’ll get great service, not have to wait long, and your food will be hot and fresh and the order correct. Always catches me off guard to stop at a fast food place or gas station up in northern Arkansas and the employee is a decently attractive white girl in her 20s

The better question is how? How fat do you have to be to be able to shove a gallon of detergent between your legs and no one notice?
