Just got back from the mountains outside Bryson City North Carolina... The local grocery stores in that area are called Ingels, nothing locked up, everything is clean with very helpful employees.. Only problem is you can't buy liquor on Sundays.. But you can buy beer and wine... 
You can guess the demographics of the store employees and customers..
We stopped at a Waffle House in Murphy NC on the way home, all white employees as well as customers... Place was squeaky clean, no loud yelling or shitty music blaring from the juke box.
I was ready to move to that area of NC...

There is no magic soil.
The shitty parts of town are shitty because the people who live there make them that way.
The same is true with countries.
If you were to magically swap the populations of South Korea and Haiti, in 20 years time Haiti would suddenly be a prosperous, advanced peaceful island paradise and South Korea would be an unmitigated violent third world hell hole.
Intelligent hard-working people create nice things and nice places.
Stupid violent savages act like animals and ultimately live like them

I never got the downgrading of poors shopping at walmart.
They are the number one stop near a beach causeway. They are pristine, sell beach gear, fishing licenses, passes for drive on beaches,. Only the tourists go to the beach accessories spots on the island.

It amazes me the difference each individual Wal Mart is from one to another. Back when I lived in Gainesville, FL I liked to joke that we weren't in the hood, but we were hood adjacent and our Walmart reflected that. Everything was locked up, employees were horrible rarely helped but then I moved to the sticks of Missouri. Much better clientele, better employees and over all better store and obviously nothing locked up with the exception of high end electronics and games

You can still use your favorite, slur. It's the most commonly used on the board. You can relax.
