Simply put, a straw purchase is when one person buys a gun for another person who is not allowed to own a gun.
At 17 he was allowed to be in possession of the AR-15, he just couldn’t purchase it
This was brought up during the trial when Binger asked why he chose an AR & not a handgun
You have to be 21 to be possession of a hand gun

Dominic has been charged by the state. He was a witness for the state. Dominic bought the rifle and was legally able to do so. Have you watched any of this?

This just confirms this kid is a legend, probably the first American to actually put tax dollars to work.

Well it reads as if it was unemployment from the state. Not the stimulus payments.
I’m not up to date on the purchase laws there, But I used guns my whole non adult life someone else purchased. I’m sure all of you did too.

Have you watched any of this?
But as a BTW, I have watched the videos many times and it is clearly self defense.

Any extra money or tax refunds that I get go 100% towards weapons and ammo.

It was purchased by his “brother” if I recall correctly.
By the letter any parent who purchased their kid a shotgun for duck hunting is a felon. You really want to go down that path?

Because it’s a bullshite interpretation of the statute.

I think you meant to say "legal and illegal", not right and wrong.
I haven't watched every second of the trial, but I don't think Kyle ever possessed the gun. It was fine for him to pay for a gun for the other guy, and Kyle could use it, but he couldn't possess it. The gun was kept at the other guy's house the entire time. If Kyle took it to his house I'd agree they have a problem but I don't think that's what happened.

It was dominic Black. Kyle’s sister’s boyfriend. He was 18 and the rifle was as never transferred to Kyle. It was going to happen when Kyle became 18.

No, they're saying someone else made the purchase that Kyle paid for, but the purchase was for the buyer. I think they had an understanding that it wouldn't go to Kyle until he was legal to own one, not just use one. Which is a dumbass inconsistency of the law anyway but irrelevant to the legality/illegality here.

I didn’t think 17 year olds were eligible for that
Sounds like maybe this was the additional federal unemployment money. His age wouldn't have mattered for that. I know my daughter didn't get any "stimulus" money. (We got money for her) She did get about $800/week total in unemployment while she was unable to work due to covid.

What a coincidence. I also bought a firearm with stimulus money.
The other coincidence?
Boating accident claimed my gun. Darn the luck.

Dumbest law ever. Tlking about kyle being too young to by a gun.

Good investment. Smart choice young man.
