I didn't watch jury selection but there is no way that if there's only 1 black person on the panel that Kyle is getting convicted.
I have watched 0 seconds of this trial, but white people selected for jury duty in Kenosha would have voted for Trump at at LEAST a 50% clip.
Not guilty has to be unanimous as well. Not just guilty. 1 person is all it takes to hang either way.

My take on this, which might be reaching- Rittenhouse is either acquitted, or the Judge throws out a guilty verdict. In his mind, the case has been made, and he has no doubt. He's simply hoping at this point that the jury will do their job.
From your lips to God’s ears.

Jury supposedly will conclude today at 5pm CT. They have 37 minutes so looking like this will continue tomorrow

If hung he has the option to dismiss with prejudice (no retrial) or dismiss without prejudice (prosecution can retry case)

It'll continue until late Friday.

Criminal case has to be 100% unanimous to convict

No way did I think this wouldn't be done in 2 days.

I agree. If we don’t get a verdict tomorrow then we’re looking at a hung jury sometime Friday. Then it’ll be up to the judge to have the balls to dismiss with prejudice. Which I have zero confidence in him to do. I hope he surprises me

There were people in the OT thread freaking out after 2 hours.

I see the opposite. They find guilty - judge does nothing. I'm too convinced this shite is fricked.
Why is he holding on the motions until after the decision?
If ev been with the prosecutor cheating the jury says innocent, which the judge thinks is the case, then the defense will withdraw their motions.
If the jury said guilty, which can't really happen, the judge will rule a mistrial. There is no other reason for sitting on ruling on n these.
If he was going to say mistrial, might as well wait to see if jury does is job.
And if he was just going to deny the motions, he could've done that already.
It makes sense.

I'm getting to here, but I'm slightly more optimistic that it will be with prejudice. Key word: slightly.
