In a way, yes.
Said another way, the defense objected to the video being shown and the prosecution is just building on their house of cards. It makes the likelihood of mistrial greater.

Thought for a second I wasn’t the only one popping tops this early!

I feel like a JNOV is something every attorney can remember from law school but 99.99% have never come close to encountering in practice.

I don't think that was ever in doubt that it benefits the Defense, but the larger question is that the prosecution didn't do its job in delivering the evidence as they received it. Intentional or not, they failed.
I think it's damaging to Kyle's rights, regardless, and grounds for dismissal.

At this point if this judge had any sense he’d have impartial expert testimony brought in that is neither tied to the prosecution or the defense and have everything to do with this video broken down for him. From there he could make an informed decision about all of it. He clearly doesnt understand the tech therefore he doesn’t know how to question either side. He also is forced to take the DA’s explanation at face value. In that position it’s impossible to know whether what they are telling you is truth or just nice sounding bullshite.

That is what I said last week. He (judge) makes all these faces and goes off on the prosecution, the prosecution just ignores it and continues to talk... eventually the judge just gives them what they want. (more or less)
The judge is bad, the prosecution is horrible but because the judge is incompetent they get what they want eventually. The defensive counsel are horrible as well.

There's not going to be any mistrials. Everyone said the same thing when Chauvin was railroaded while we had idiots like Maxine Waters, Don Lemon and Kamala Harris running their mouths.
Once this is over this week, everyone will be done with it.

I would like to know to. If hypothetically he did point the gun.
That still changes nothing on these specific murder charges.
He fled and then Rosenbaum should have not attacked him. So he restablished his right to self defense when he ran out of a place to run too.

I honestly believe people freak out too much over this. Its easy to see the attorneys or the judge do something and find fault after contemplating things a bit... hindsight is 20/20. Of course, if you have a bias, you want to see flawless execution from your attorney and kid glove treatment from the judge. You'll never sit through 2 weeks of a trial and love everything your side does, or agree with every decision the judge makes.
I think this judge's approach was to appear strong and in control, stay within the law as written, but give the leeway required to hold off any accusation of bias or impropriety. I also think he indulged the state a little too much, but I get why he did that. I HOPE if there were an issue more consequential than resolution of a shitty drone video, he would have done the right thing, but we'll never know.

Was there significant prosecutorial misconduct on the basis of the defedant having his civil rights violated alleged in the Chauvin case?

Wait, so the Judge is allowing them to see the HD drone video that is in question and that the defense has filed a motion about?
Yep
Holy shite, this is a gift from god to the defense...
Judge has made this Day of Reckoning statement to the prosecution.
Has seemed pretty much in agreement to most of the defense's objections.
Has made multiple statements that he is "queasy" on the prosecution, that he's brought up that he has stated that they might have gone over the line **and that they have CONTINUED to incur his wrath after this warning. ** and he pointed this out again today.
Has refused to rule on the mistrial request, but hasn't denied them- has stated "let's see what the jury says first".
My take on this, which might be reaching- Rittenhouse is either acquitted, or the Judge throws out a guilty verdict. In his mind, the case has been made, and he has no doubt.
He's simply hoping at this point that the jury will do their job.

This is how it should be based one the prosecution's own arguments

Well, to me he has been just laying down so until he proves otherwise you have to believe he isn't going to do anything.
He's toothless.

This is where I am, but I'm just not confident he has the balls to do it if necessary.

Yes. The judge was aware of what these public figures said. He addressed the jury about it.
