That's the big National announcement coming out of NY State? The NRA? In an election year? Thank you Dimocrats, thank you very much. All of those new gun owners will be lining up to vote.

The NRA is a lost cause. They are only concerned about raising money. Wayne LaPieere is a scumbag POS.

Maybe it's time that all you patriots form a new organization.

The NRA has become just as corrupt as the most pathetic unions out there.

I absolutely support y'all binding together and lobbying for gun rights, but holy hell, the NRA is a mess and sure doesn't seem like it's doing much representing y'all these days.

Not smart months before the election. Biden will pay for that move.

Wrong, this is a well timed move by the DNC to go after Trump supporters. The news headline will read "Group that backs Trump under investigation for Fraud"

blah blah blah.

DNC is winning by playing dirty

Of course they can. Almost every state has judicial dissolution for LLCs, and certainly most states can revoke corporate charters as well, for multiple reasons.

Here's the Louisiana provision (based on the Model Business Corporation Act, so lots of states have something similar):

§1-1430. Grounds for judicial dissolution
A. A district court may dissolve a corporation in any of the following:
(1) A proceeding by the attorney general if either of the following is established:
(a) The corporation obtained its articles of incorporation through fraud.
(b) The corporation has continued to exceed or abuse the authority conferred upon it by law.

NY statute (NY Business Corporation Law Section 1101) is virtually identical. LINK

How often is that actually used? that's a nuke bomb and I'd imagine would go all the way to a state supreme court for final resolution.

Life member already but the NRA has some issues. Best result would be if the NRA wins and also uses this as a time to make some changes because it is a needed organization.

This is spectacular news. Good fricking luck doing this NY when there are 10 million first time gun owners this year (myself included) and then winning the election. Between this and defunding/abolishing the police, if Trump loses, it’s on him.

I get people’s frustration with the NRA but they absorb a ton of the heat nationally that the smaller state level grassroots gun organizations don’t have the money to absorb. Love then or hate them they do more good than bad for the 2A.
